Me outing with family and Dad suggested this place as he tried before. He said the cendol was in huge portion and he liked it.So we ordered laksa, and the famous assam laksa as well. Sis said the taste quite good even though it's pricy, it reminded her some of the Penang friends would definitely left the bowl of assam laksa spotless.Penang sell assam laksa half of the price with petite portion which pity for my bottomless stomach.I love the laksa though because it's not spicy, full of dried squi

Penang sell assam laksa half of the price with petite portion which pity for my bottomless stomach.I love the laksa though because it's not spicy, full of dried squid and clams with beanskins and fishballs. Its reminded me of the laksa that sold at our decades ago school's canteen.
I'd tried the sambal and kept looking back the menu to seek for " NASI LEMAK". The sambal, was on par with Malays sambal ikan bilis. The sambal was actually very smooth and blended well. I suspected it was made using pester and mortar. Even I can't find a single chili skins and seeds, too. It not oily and great to be dipped for cucur udang, cucur ikan bilis and might be keropok lekor.
The ambience was full of Penang old street with Uncle Peah tales and a tv showed how the assam laksa was made.
Those who enjoyed Penang foods very much will definitely need to try out this store. It is just opposite Card Cafe.
