1. Thai Syok @ Wisma Central

Thai Syok is a hidden treasure located at Wisma Central, KL. This Thai restaurant is quite difficult to find, as it is situated at the basement. The interior is impressive with colourful tables and graffiti walls. Now, they are offering set lunch at only RM9.90 nett to cater to office crowd. My favourite dish here is the Wok Fried Phad Thai Noodle. The combination of all the ingredients creates the right balance of sweet, sour, and spicy. Another recommended dish is the King Rama V Fried Rice. Remember to mix all the ingredients before you eat. So “syok” and yummy!

2. Piggy Tail @ Bangsar

As its name suggests, Piggy Tail serves all kinds of dishes with PORK, such as pasta, porky platter, sausage platter, pork knuckle, pork chop, you name it! The pork that is served in this western restaurant is not ordinary pork, but Sakura Pork that is more organic and healthy. Pork Corn is a delicious appetizer with chunks of deep-fried Sakura Pork peppered with secret spices. The signature Piggy Pork Burger is highly recommended. It comes with pork patty, melted cheese, vegetables and onion rings. The burger is so tall that we need to squeeze it real hard to eat!

3. Chew Heong Fish Pot @ Kepong

Located near Hong Leong Bank in Kepong, Chew Heong Fish Pot is a corner lot facing the main road. They are one of few steamboat restaurants in KL that serve authentic Teochew Fish Pot originated from Pangkor Island. The delicious broth is prepared using grouper head, fish bone, taro, cabbage, seaweed, tomatoes, tofu, etc. You can enjoy the flavorful fish head soup with a bowl of rice or other seafood ingredients, such as prawns and clams, that are freshly sourced from Sekinchan daily to ensure the quality is fresh and consistent.

4. DubuYo @ Quill City Mall

dubuya, quill city mall, korean food, kl
DubuYo is a halal certified Korean restaurant with a cosy and trendy setting. They offer a wide range of hearty Korean dishes. Spicy Seafood Ramyeon is one of my favourites. The dish is very appetizing, and it warms your tummy with a spicy and delicious broth filled with fresh seafood! I like the Bibimbap here too. It's nicely decorated with a variety of vegetables and chicken meat and topped with a fried egg. Stir all the ingredients together with the spicy red sauce while the food is still hot to enjoy it to the fullest!

5. Kilo Grill @ Publika

kilo grill, publika, bbq, kl
Kilo Grill is a self-grill barbecue restaurant featuring all kinds of BBQ from all around the world. The restaurant in KL is founded by a Malaysian and a French who love traveling and wish to introduce different BBQ cultures to Malaysia. They serve many top quality and fresh ingredients, such as Argentine Sea Prawns, Spanish Iberia Pork, Irish Oysters, John Ross Jr Scottish Smoked Salmon and Korean Sea Eel. All items are marinated with different sauces and grilled using charcoal fire to bring out the best flavours from the meat. Sounds like excellent places to visit this weekend, don’t you think so?
