6 Hot & New Restaurants at Dining Loft, Pavilion

Formerly a beauty hall with spas and salons, the 7th floor of Pavilion KL is revamped into a new dining destination called the Dining Loft. You can reach here via the escalators at Level 6 near TGIF Friday or go to level 7 directly using a lift. 6 of the 7 restaurants here are opened. The remaining restaurant that is yet to open is an Arabic restaurant named Al Halabi.

1. The Counter

Hailed from California, United States, The Counter is a premium burger joint in Pavilion that specializes in custom built burgers. Customers can enjoy the freedom of building their own burgers by choosing their preferred meat patty, cheese, sauce, toppings, bun and side. The possibility is basically unlimited, as you can choose from more than 80 different ingredients on the menu! Not sure what to choose? Fret not, as they also have some “Expert Builds” on the menu with fancy names and superb tastes, such as The Official Counter Burger, Old School, and Knife + Fork.

2. Starz Kitchen

Founded by well-known Hong Kong singers, Alan Tham & Hacken Lee, Starz Kitchen makes their debut in Malaysia at the Dining Loft. The restaurant offers a wide range of authentic Hong Kong Cuisine, especially wonton noodles and BBQ meats. Their signature Shrimp Wonton Noodles in Soup is a must-try. It is different from normal wanton mee, as the noodles are drizzled with fragrant prawn roes that add a strong prawn flavour to the soup. Besides, the wontons are fresh and wrapped with one whole prawn each!

3. Rocku Yakiniku

Originated from Singapore, Rocku serves Japanese style grilled and barbecued buffet. What’s special about this Chinese restaurant in Pavilion is that their dining style is based on timing. Upon entering, you are given 100 minutes to dine and enjoy unlimited supply of sliced meats for grilling, including beef, pork, chicken, lamb and seafood. Most of the meats are sourced from Australia to ensure the quality is fresh and of premium quality. No worries of some awkward moments of silence, they have performances here like live band and magic show too!

4. Village Roast Duck

Craving for some crispy roasted duck? Head over to Village Roast Duck in Pavilion, where you can enjoy crispy and fragrant roasted duck in a comfortable setting. This outlet at the Dining Loft is very spacious if compared to their first outlet in Bangsar Village I. Most patrons come here for their signature roasted duck, which is well marinated and perfectly roasted until the skin is crispy and the meat succulent. Apart from roasted duck, other BBQ meats, such as Char Siew and Roasted Pork, are also very well prepared and delicious. This Pavilion outlet is currently running a promotion of FREE soup and dessert.

5. Pigs & Wolf

Pigs & Wolf is under the same group as the Three Little Pigs & the Big Bad Wolf. Many specialty dishes offered at this Western restaurant in Pavilion are the same as the Three Little Pigs. However, you can expect to find more premium items here, such as Pork Steaks and Pork Burgers. The best seller here is still the Wolf’s Favorite, which is creamy spaghetti pan-fried with smoked pork bacon and button mushroom, topped with crispy bacon bits and a perfectly cooked poached egg with runny egg yolk. Absolutely delicious!

6. Serai

Serai is one of the most successful casual dining restaurants in shopping malls, offering both Western and Asian Cuisine. The interior of this outlet is impressively designed in chic and contemporary style. Customers get to enjoy freshly prepared dishes in a comfy setting. If you are a lover of Asian food, try their specialty Serai Platter, which is a rice dish served with oxtail asam pedas, honey squid, acar and ayam goreng berempah.
