this taiwanese dessert really brings back memories from my taiwan trip. their fen yuan taste so similar to the ones i tasted in jiu fen. i ordered their black ball signature. it was indeed a cooling and refreshing snack in the hot weather. what makes it cooling is the grass jelly. their grass jelly was really smooth. the yam balls and sweet potato balls were very chewy yet does not stick to your teeth. it was indeed a delight to eat.

I like this Taiwan dessert not because it is delicious but it is because that's the only Taiwan dessert I can find in town. The dessert here the ice isn't that smooth compare to the other brand. And most important is the ice doesn't taste sweet and close to tasteless. The taro ball is quite rough and totally different from the normal taro ball I eat in KL before. But still will eat it to kill my crave.
