My most recent visit to this "famous" beef noodles shop in JB has left me perplexed. There was hardly a soul in sight, save for a solitary old uncle at the next table, who seemed to be a regular. My most recent visit to this "famous" beef noodles shop in JB has left me perplexed. There was hardly a soul in sight, save for a solitary old uncle at the next table, who seemed to be a regular. No throngs of hungry locals, no curious tourists. What happened to this famous beef noodles shop?I had a bowl, and has plenty of tender beef, with rich beef broth served on the side. The vinegar chilli sauce that accompanied as condiment tasted fresh and intense. There was enough of everything, and prices were reasonable, as far as any dish with lots of good beef goes, especially considering this shop's proximity to our neighbouring city-state.
Good... but perhaps unexciting. Has the standard gone down, or have I (we?) just gotten bored? You decide.
