每一次来到斗湖，我都会发现新的惊喜。虽然说小地方难免会有人口老化的现象，年轻人都纷纷到大城市打工去，但还是有少数的人决定在老家创业，才造就了今天在斗湖也可以泡咖啡馆。Cafe Societe 开在 Giant 霸级市场附近，开业不到一年，我在农历新年的期间光顾，发现这里不只是受到年轻人的青睐，大部份的顾客更是携老带幼地前来。所以，如果你想在这里静静地享受下午茶，是不太可能的。空间里充满大家聊天和说笑的声音，这就是小地方的独有特色。天气太热，某人还没翻开餐牌就已经决定要来一杯冰咖啡，看见餐牌上有店家推荐的 Australian iced coffee，就决定要点这个了。

这杯澳洲冰咖啡的特别之处就是上面的那一球香草雪糕，某人因为不爱吃雪糕，就自作聪明要我帮他把雪糕吃了。之后才发现原来冰咖啡是没加糖的，正确的喝法应该是让雪糕在咖啡里溶化，这样咖啡才会带有雪糕的淡淡甜味。

那一支塑胶茶匙是一绝，可以把这一杯澳洲冰咖啡瞬间变成 kopi bing。Hot latte 的味道有点带酸，咽下喉咙之后还有一点涩涩的，我不是很喜欢。还好在我加了半茶匙的黄糖之后，味道有变得顺口一点了。提拉米苏只能以“失败”两个字来形容。从上层往下慢慢剖析 - 上面的可可粉下手太重，芝士放得太少，酒味和咖啡味也不明显，用的不是手指饼干而是普通的蛋糕体，最后只能把它当成普通蛋糕来吃。

虽然蛋糕不怎么样，但是我看见隔壁桌点的凯撒沙拉好像很不错。毕竟要在一个年轻人不多的小镇里创立一家咖啡馆并不容易，所以下次有机会的话我还是会过来支持一下的。

根据网上的资料，金沙园生肉面从1999年营业至今总共开了三家分店。可能小狮之前功课并没有做得很充足，所以并没在网上发现哪家分店的最受好评。当天开车前就直接让Waze带路，也没多加注意Waze是把我们带到哪家分店。结果，Waze把我们带到了位于Lintas的分店，也就是之前ＮＴＶ７爱食客到访的分店。心想既然是爱食客到访的分店，估计这家分店的点评应该不会差到那里去。如果您靠近餐厅打烊时间光顾，就必须要面临有很多美食的卖完的情况。好在当天金沙园的生肉面还没卖完，至少还吃得到生肉面，只是无法吃到其他金沙园的著名小食如酿豆腐和冬菇鸡脚。根据网上得到的资料，相比跟汤面，金沙园的干捞面比较受欢迎。干捞面的意思也就是干捞面食为自己一碗，而生肉料和汤为则盛在另外一碗。当天小狮点了一碗猪杂生肉干捞米粉面（RM6.50) 而小妮子点了只有猪肉片和吊片猪肉丸的干捞米粉面(RM6.50)。由于过后小狮想到别处打包Oldtown白咖啡，所以并没有点任何饮料。经过长时间熬煮的猪肉高汤喝起来特别鲜甜，再配上一般猪肉面的另外一个灵魂配料，也就是店家独家酿制的辣椒，单是喝汤也已经是个味觉享受。新鲜细嫩的猪肉片和其他猪肉配料都很新鲜，至少对肉腥味特别敏感的小妮子也吃得很开心。吃完后小狮总算明白为何金沙园生肉面能够登上亚庇代表美食，也是几乎每位游客必然到来打卡的美食站之一。

A visit to KK isn't complete without a visit to the Chateau Patisserie. This quaint little restaurent has won allocades of awards before and it would be a shame not to try out their fabulous food....

1. Grilled Cod Fish
Freshly grilled cod fish bathed in warm brown gravy. One bite will leave you wanting to gobble down the whole plate. The servings come in 2 sizes, i ordered the smaller one and totally regretted it. Should have ordered the bigger serving as the fish tasted really good...fresh and succulent. It was served with a generous amount of mashed pumpkin (sweet and savory) and lightly boiled and crunchy green vegetables (for the life of me i don't remember the name of the veggy but they resembled a slim and green version of bean sprouts)

2. Beef steak
The sirloin beef steak was tender and well marinated. The chef must have had it cooked for a very long time to achieve such tenderness. It was served with the same brown thick gravy and heaps of mashed potatoes and boiled brocolli and carrots. There was not a single bite left after we finished dinner. It is that good. Definitely a must try.

3. Cream Brulee
We forgot to take a photo of the cream brulee...it was my first time trying it..tasted crispy on the top and soft at the bottom. A bit too sweet for me but my friends loved it. Presentation wise it was a blast.

Restaurant Lok Kyun is famous for its tuaran mee. Tuaran mee is made up of egg, or it can be called egg-noodle. Normally, people prefer dried than soup tuaran mee. The dried one tasted better than the soup one. It must be eaten straight after it is prepared to prevent taste different because long exposure to air. It tasted 'egg-ish' and nice. Soup one tasted so-so. Other dishes include yam meat. You can try more if you want. The most important part is you must try dried tuaran mee.
