Their signature dishes are fire phoenix with honey, claypot crab with vermicelli, tomyam soup, fried tilapia with mango salad, mango salad, grilled lamb shoulders…… And my flavours dishes are steamed lala, fried paku pakis, salted egg squid, clear tomyam seafood soup, green curry chicken, fried butter prawn, grilled lamb shoulders and mango salad. My favorite is salted egg squid. I went to TGV more than 10 times, and they managed to serve me with fresh squid every time. I like this dish because TGV prepared it in wet style instead of fried style. Normally when you order salted egg squid in other places, some restaurant will just fried the squid with salted egg but in TGV they serve it in wet style, you can still taste the freshness of the squid and the creamy texture of salted egg.How can you not order a tomyam soup in a Thai restaurant. TGV provide few choices for tomyam soups, there are clear soup, coconut tomyam soup, prawn soup and few more. My favourite is clear tomyam soup, which is more spicy and salty. TGV are generous, small bowl of tomyam seafood is enough for 2-3 person to share, and everyone will get a full small bowl of seafood and tomyam soup. continue reading

Thai Garden Village is located in between Kepong and Jinjang, nearby Shell petrol station along Jalan Kepong, behind World Motor Trade. Parking is not an issue here as they provide a large parking lot for free. I like the environment setting very much. The place is very spacious with plenty of table to support large dining group. They even has private dining room for certain charge. They have a very nice "Garden" area, with some wooden huts and also some sign posts stating the distance to different places in Thailand. There is a BBQ section beside the garden to prepare grill dishes. The White Tom Yum Seafood we ordered is not so spicy compare with the normal Tom Yum and the shrimp also quite big. The Thai Style Steam Fish is nice as the fish is very fresh, but I think is too spicy for me. As for the Claypot Tofu, the taste is slightly different compare with Chinese style. Finally, the one i prefer most is the Sizzling Green Curry Squid. The curry is very authentic and the squid is very chewy. The waiters here are very friendly and they serve the food quite fast. Overall, I think the food here is worth for the money and they have plenty of dishes to choose from compare to other thai restaurant. continue reading

。 continue reading
