Star Cafe is a cafe-bistro which occupies a two-storey shop lot here at Taman Desa for 19 years! Star Cafe also has a few more branches across Klang Valley (TTDI, Plaza Damas & OUG).Tucked away from the busy Old Klang Road , The Star Cafe's branch in Taman Desa has ample parking space (& they even have private parking bays for Star Cafe's patrons!), which is really a plus plus brownies point. One can choose to dine in & chill at the quiet outdoor el fresco area, or inside where live bands will delight your ears & warm up the atmosphere.At Star Cafe, there will be different live bands playing different genres musics EVERYDAY from 9pm onwards!We were there on a Thursday night & we really enjoyed the performances. Most of the songs played were classic oldies rock which was truly nostalgic. Warning: Super SpicyTofu Salad RM18Silken Tofu & crispy Wonton skin on a bed of Salad Leaves. Served with Peanut & Japanese Sesame Dressing. A Japanese-inspired salad. I love how the contrasting texture of the crispy wonton skin & soft tofu come together in this dish.Beef Wellington RM59Juicy Beef Fillet smoothered in a blend of Mushrooms and wrapped in a Puff Pastry. Served with Red Wine Sauce & a side of Steamed Vegetables and Baked PotatoThe Beef Wellington is definitely my favourite dish here at Star Cafe. the juicy & succulent beef slices wrapped in the buttery, flaky pastry puff definitely won my heart & taste buds.Slow-Cooked Lamb Shank RM39Lamb shank cooked for 4 hours in a red wine marinate. Served with Creamy Mashed Potatoes & Steamed Vegetables.Hainanese Lamb Shank RM42Tender Lamb Shank in a traditional Chinese Roots & Wolfberry soup. Served with white rice. Definitely something you can't fund elsewhere. The lamb shank here was also really tender, and the soup tasted really homey. It tasted like a traditional Chinese Herbal Soup (with a huuuuuge lamb shank!)Chicken Deminoff RM26Quater Chicken cooked in a cream sauce.Otak-Otak Snapper FIllet RM32Traditional Malaysian Otak-Otak Spiced Coconut marinate fillets of Snapper served with RiceStar Pork Knuckle RM65Crispy Pork Knuckle served with Sauerkraut & Potato WedgesSpring ChickenFried Half Chicken Served with a side of Fries & Vegetables.Oyster Fried Kway Teow RM20Charred wok-fried flat rice noodle with oyster fried in eggs and tiger prawns.The Oyster Fried Kway Teow was surprisingly quite decent and it was loaded with generous amount of prawns!Mantis Prawn Yee MeeThe huuuuge size of the mantis prawn! Not really a big fan of bitter gourd hence I can't comment much on this dish.Curry MeeWe ended our meal with a sweet note with their homemade Sarawak Layer Cake. Star Cafe has a Sarawakian pastry chef who made these dainty layer cake from scratch here!Verdict: Decent fusion food generous in portion! came here to mid valley around the klang lama area and saw this place called the star cafe and nice place to hang out here just to relax the time with your loved ones and i do like the western meal here with the chicken chop which i like it and also the fish and chips. very big portion and is very delicious.looking at the menu looks tempting and service is good here too.

mushroom soup here is served together with the set meal. the dinner here is nice experience, and nice to come here with family members for dinner. the set they have is the western food mainly is the chicken chop, fish and chip and also the chicken maryland. price is very cheap here and locate at the seputeh desa area. parking is hard to find here.mushroom soup is just normal and taste better with the bread

We get to taste the Sang Har (Fresh Prawn) Noodles which is one of the favorites where prawns are big. It is served with a prawn and the sang mee is really mix well with the prawns and the taste is really good.Price: RM 16.00Apple Crumble is a where the delicious Apple chunks baked in nutty topping served with vanilla ice cream and creamy vanilla sauce. 来到star cafe，这里的食物种类也是很多，除了西式料理以外，厨师也加入了几道中式料理，其中一道引起我的注意的是他们的生虾面，他有点象我在外面吃的滑蛋伊面，但这里的煮法较精致，而且还有加入大虾，真的是单是卖相就让人食指大动，味道也很好，虾很新鲜，虽然价钱有点高但是值得的。
