Churros with Molten Chocolate Lava Dip Strawberry and Ice Cream Funnel Cake
Review (14)
Funnel cake with banana, caramel and ice cream. After we had done our shopping for the last few hours, I still refused to go home and wanted to have a dessert. We stopped by this Molten Lava and ordered the funnel cake with banana, caramel and ice cream. The presentation looked really tempting. The funnel cake was deep fried, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was not oily at all. The ice cream was a big scoop and matched well with the funnel cake. continue reading

I was introduced to Molten Lava by a colleague who swears that their churros are the best. I decided to drop by last weekend to see what the fuss is all about. I ordered the cinnamon sugar churros to go, and was told that I had to wait for it as they produce it freshly made. A machine was used to squeeze out the churros batter, which kind of look like a long star-shaped stick about six inches long. Then they fry it for a couple of minutes before rolling them in cinnamon sugar. The result was a crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside piece of fried dough, complemented with cinnamon sugar that tasted amazing. My new favourite dessert! continue reading

I have been wondering what kind of food churro is. After hours of goggle-ing, I finally found the meaning of churro - is also known as a spanish doughnut, a fried-dough snack made from potato and serve as a breakfast with hot chocolate - and where to find it - Molten Lava OU. The shape of this churro is like a stick, and come with different flavor - Molten Chocolate dip churro, Cinnamon sugar, and some coated with caramel and top with chocolate drizzled and colorful chocolate rice. The taste is just delicious, and even more better when dipped in hot chocolate. Besides churro, there is also others pastry offered here such as pie, macaroons and cakes. The price is slightly pricey, range between RM4 to RM6 per set (of 4 sticks of churro) continue reading

A humble, unassuming outlet on the new wing that's rather easy to miss. Churros with molten chocolate dip. The dip was OK, while the churros were very nice indeed. Definitely on par with the ones at Chinoz. Roti paratha with curry chicken. This was fine; no harm in trying it. continue reading
