Signature Dishes
I happened to come here to watch Hobbit tonight so we came here to have dinner. Forgive me if I cannot really recall the names of the food I have eaten as I have lost the receipt. The good thing is both of us love wasabi with soya sauce so it is fund eating together. I had Maguro Tuna Sashimi which was so tasty, thick and fresh. The snails seem to be the latest edition to Sakae Sushi, and me being a snail lover is very happy with it. Luckily, my friend also like snails. I also liked the Salmon with mango/omelette. The Salmon with lobster was also quite tasty, but sadly, I did not taste the lobster at all. Since I am in that period of the month where I could not have anything acidic, I drank the hot Red Jejube recommended by my friend which turned out to be instant but at least I could refill and the drink is not sweet and healthy. The dish that did not arrive at all was the Sashimi Salad so we canceled it in the end because they probably forgot about it.

Considered to be one of my favourite, the dishes in the Sakae sushi chain is always consistently good when it comes to taste, quality, and the freshness. Also the very well trained staffs which would always make dining experience even more pleasurable. The Chawanmushi with roe is fantastic when served hot. The seating and the interior of this place is very comfortable and suitable for casual short break in between meal as well as proper meals. The portions of the serving are nicely prepared and there would be some more space for those who like the ordering add on. There are few items on the menu that is very suitable as communal dishes for sharing. Those spinning plates of delicious sushi on the rotating belts is the awesome thrill when dining in Japanese restaurant with belts. Of course when it comes to items like raw fishes, lets try and avoid the spinning ones and ask for fresh ones from the kitchen. I really don’t think any restaurant should be serving raw items on the belt. It is so important for it to still be fresh when dinners have it. For the sake of both hygiene and the taste wise.

I was having a craving for some takoyaki. Since I couldn't go all the way to One Utama to get my favourite Tako Tao, I settled for takoyaki from Sakae Sushi. I ordered, and it took quite a while to come. My initial thought was that it looked more like potato balls than takoyaki. Compared to Tako Tao, the takoyaki here is quite below par. The balls was literally a round piece of flour, not much ingredients except for a tiny bit of chopped cabbage and a small piece of baby squid. It was served with some teriyaki sauce, mayonnaise drizzle and fish flakes. Taste wise, just so-so.

nice tasty corn sushil.fresh ingredient. very good place to dine in with friend and family. when coming over to sakae sushi its good to try this corn sushi. the corn is actually cooked with little burnt side and the sushi is well wrap with the corn. the price is also not expensive here and can come here more often then the sushi king which is far more expensive there.
