Exactly one year after Tom, Dick & Harry's sprang up on this street (time truly flies!), 42 East has opened to offer yet another option for pub grub in TTDI. Sauteed mushrooms with asparagus & bacon. Won't win any awards; might seem watery and bland to some customers, but it is what it is. Grilled Hungarian spicy sausages. Chunky, but way too salty for our liking. Slow-roasted chicken. Scrawny poultry, since this is the free-range variety, but it tastes reassuringly home-cooked, in all the right ways. Origen Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 (Chile). Wine is only available by the bottle. continue reading

E42T the signboard of their restaurant, Black colour chairs and tables, it is quite nice to dine in with, not to mention with their chilling air condition and cool lightning. It is a very nice place to hang out after shopping at 1utama or anytime we wish to hang out. BEER IS A MUST Among the best recommend by them Marinade with bbq sauce, the spiciness is certainly spice by ones' mouth the pork ribs is soft and not to hard when eaten, certainly a good meal to enjoy with, together along with the sauce, which may add more flavour to it. Good portion to fill ones' stomach. continue reading

From the signage alone, this place looks and sounds like a very "lala" place, but don't let that put you off. This is one of the better pork rib places in town, and is set in a bar environment. The BBQ sauce is intense, but the black pepper sauce is too intense and kills the flavour - so stick with either BBQ or honey. The meat is tender enough to fall off the bone - I like the part around the soft bone the most. The side dishes are quite "meh" - mash is dull and brocolli is modest.Best part is the serving - somehow their "full rack" is a lot more than other places. Maybe they just use better pigs. The crispy bacon is also a good order if you're having the munchies. Like the name says, it's crispy and tastes every bit like how bacon should taste - salty, and juicy with oil and fat.Dieters keep clear! continue reading

My idea of pork rib is the one served in dai chao in nearby coffee shop, or the one served in a Chinese restaurant. BBQ pork rib is surely something out of my dictionary back then.Tender, juicy and flavorful, 42 East did their pork rib right. You can choose to have half slab for RM32 or full slab for RM55, and have it butter glazed or connor stout glazed, or hot and Spicy.BBQ Pork Rib glazed with Connor Stout would be perfect for a twist of flavor. If you think it is bitter, then you are wrong!Connor stout glazed tastes WAY better than hot and Spicy.Besides I had this crispy bacon, which I think it was too salty on its own. By right, it should because it is supposed to be a snack for beer drinkers.A good cracker but salty nevertheless. continue reading
