Paper + Toast is a working space with a on-site café. They provide the working space at different rates depending on your needs. Also basic amenities in offices are also available at various charges upon usages. Not to mention the services provided to those in need to plug their virtual offices to real spaces. While having all the comfy, let’s not forget the snacks and beverages they have on the site.We tried the new item available in July only, called the Sloppy Joe. In contrary to the name, it was never done in a sloppy way. Selling at RM 23.40, it is a healthy and filling sandwich with toasted corn bread filled generously with Australian minced beef with black pepper sauce. I know how we all stereotyped black pepper flavours. Love it or hate it, this one has got no reason for you to pass. Served with healthy tapioca chips, this becomes a great meal. Also on the menu is the Cajun spiced chicken with avocado and roasted tomato at RM 18. Uptown is great for those unfavorable to beef for whatever reason. Many dislike sandwich because of the impression that it’s always too dry. Not for this as the avocado moisten the texture of each bite. It is perfect as a great energy source at work.As for those with a sweet tooth, the French Toast with a Twist really did brilliantly have me twisted with thick cubes of French toast served with pear compote. How about those interested with something quicker and simpler? Simply Sandwiches provides the solution to hassle free meal. Comes with the perfect bite size of three flavours- BBQ Chicken Sandwich (RM8), Tuna (RM7.50), and Egg (RM6). continue reading

Billed as a "mobile office cafe," Paper + Toast offers a calm, clean space for customers to get some work done while munching on light bites. All the crucial conveniences are available: Internet access, alongside photocopy, fax & printing facilities and private meeting rooms equipped with projectors. The menu is limited, mainly comprising salads, sandwiches & cakes. The Greek salad, featuring mixed greens, tomatoes, red onions, olives, feta cheese & lemon vinaigrette, was soggier than expected, but still tangy and refreshing enough to enjoy. Their specialty sandwich: grilled chicken lightly marinated in fish sauce, served with julienned carrots, cilantro & mayo in a toasted baguette. Not outstanding, but fairly flavorsome and not too messy to eat. Wouldn't want mayo spilling all over our laptops, right? Cupcakes! Zen @ Work (green tea with ginger cream) & Stress Buster (vanilla with chocolate frosting). Could have been more moist, but we were here at the end of the day after all. It might be better to visit for brekkie, lunch or tea, when everything is fresher. Rice pudding topped with strawberry jam. These creamy concoctions, on the other hand, were awesomely addictive. Soft, sweet treats to help ease the Monday blues. Booze isn't sold here, but customers can bring their own, with no corkage charge. Service is friendly and helpful; regular glasses were provided for us to sip this Villa Maria Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc 2009 (Marlborough), purchased from wineactually.com. P.S. I know, it looks like water in these glasses, but it really is wine. Hmmmm... continue reading

Paper & Toast is a cafe at One Residency, KL. It is opposite Hotel Istana. Stylish, minimalist interior design. On my way back to collect my car, I drop by this cafe to get a drink. When I stepped into the cafe at 7:45pm, there was a guy at the counter informing me that they are closing at 8pm. So, no food orders. Actually, he was reluctant to do any sales. I told him I wanted a drink, and he pointed to the refrigerator asking me to get bottle drinks from there. Not really what i wanted, I asked him if i can get an iced chocolate. I guess I'm not asking too much, and he proceed to prepare me the iced chocolate. The drink was not cheap at RM13.75. However, it was a good iced chocolate I'm craving for. The iced chocolate tasted silky smooth, not sweet nor bitter, very thick but not those iced blended chocolate drink you normally get. I guess they use premium chocolate powder for this. The guy told me they operate from 8am to 8pm daily. continue reading

Went to Paper+Toast again. The friendly staff asked why I have not visit them for a long time, surprised that he still remember me. =)The last visit was when I lost appetite to any food, I asked if they have any muesli or oatmeal, they custom made a bowl of milky oatmeal for me. Very nice. Today he suggested me the "small bites sandwiches", end up it's still quite huge! But I finish it up. taste really good! The half size sandwich is served with swee potato chips. yummy.I think there are at least two to three pieces of smoked salmon. The sandwich is very soft, they have two type of sandwich for you to choose from, I choose the soft one.Taste good, I love it and will be back again soon! continue reading
