Signature Dishes
After getting done with some grocery shopping at my favourite supermarket, I was in the mood for some good thai food. Usually I'd eat at Zanmai but oddly enough I was not feeling the craving for japanese and instead went for something with a little more spice.So once we paid for our things, momma and I went up to Bangkok House for some good ol' thai food. I haven't eaten there before but she has several times and told me that it was pretty good. Since we were already there I thought why not just give it a try.As always, I ordered a green curry chicken and found this quite satisfying. Not many places do this bowl of goodness justice but the one at Bangkok house was pretty good. It was perfectly creamy and spicy, making me go back for more just for the sauce. However it was a little bit scarce on chicken meat although that was partly the main part of the dish.For an added side, I also ordered their Stir-fried kangkung with belacan. This was pretty good but nothing too much to shout about as I found it to be similar to any other kangkung you can get at other thai establishments.The service was pretty good that night as there were not too many patrons dining. However there are times were it was a little bit difficult to catch the server's attention as they lurked around a certain area that kept my table out of view. Other than that, I think it's a good place to have some thai food. Especially when you are already at One Mont Kiara.
