Tien Chat vegetables with garlic. As for the vegetables, we were surprised that Hee Loi Ton offers this Tien Chat, which totally not many restaurants offer it. We ordered this - tien chat with garlic. The tien chat was slimy but it was crispy too. The garlic used were just nice and not too empowering. This was a good dish and definitely would order this again for my next visit. continue reading

salmon yee sangI don't really like yee sang because they're too sweet. But no choice,we still have to eat this on chinese new year because this is one of the traditional. And yee sang is much tastier to eat with a big group of people. The salmon sashimi is quite thick but not too fresh. It taste too soft. The whole yee sang is full with the honey sauce which i don't like this.It taste too sweet and feel so "geli" after eating much of this. continue reading

This restaurant serves Chinese cuisine. We went there for chinese new year company lunch. One of the dishes we ordered was the Jade Steamed Chicken (Fei Chui Gai). It is actually steamed chicken stewed with ginger sauce and garnished with lots of garlic and spring onion on top. The chicken is served in a thermal porcelain plate and heated over a low fire to keep it warm. The chicken flesh is really tender and silky from the ginger sauce. Each slice was superb and the ginger sauce has seeped into the flesh making it a gastronomic experience. The garlic and spring onion gives it the finishing touch it needs and everything blends in so well. Really loved the ginger taste. continue reading

Wedding dinner for chinese are always held at grand places, Hee Lai Ton is such a place. This is their appetizer, which is by far one of the best in nearly whole of KL. The baby octopus is really juicy and chewy, just like a good baby octopus dush should be. Their fishball was not fishy at all, and did not have too much flour taste,I went for seconds and thirds Besides that, I personally feel that their suckling pig there is the very very best in KL.It is really hard to find juicy suckling pig skin which doesn't give a foul taste. continue reading
