It was my first time over to Meatworks Restaurant, and from what I had gathered they do have a couple of other branches in KL and Singapore. The restaurant itself looked really clean and white, with chairs and tables which were of minimalist design. With a tagline that read, "For all your meaty cravings, and more", I was pretty hyped up at the prospect of some nice food. The first to arrive at our table was our soup appetizers, namely the Cream Of Mushroom Soup. Unlike the usual mushroom soup available elsewhere, here you could actually taste the texture of the mushrooms used inside the soup. Essentially mixed mushrooms and cream topped up with buttered croutons and parsley, this soup alone filled up a third of my stomach, yes it was that filling. Believe it or not, this Meatworks Potato Salad was one of my colleague's main dish, as it came in this really big serving of potatos tossed in mayo with spicy meaty chorizo and roasted capsicum. Personally I liked the meat pieces, but not so the potatoes. continue reading

The yam ice-cream in Meatworks is just so-so. I personally do not prefer yam in the first place, so this doesn’t really hold any appeal to me. It was served with some raisins, which was a nice touch. It was also decorated with a cherry as well as a mint leaf. Hubby liked this very much, so he basically vacuumed the whole thing. I would probably skip this if hubby orders again the next time. continue reading

MeatWorks is a restaurant located at Ground floor in Citta Mall. This is a restaurant servings a wide variety of western cuisines. Beef filletThe beef fillet was well marinated with MeatWorks' special spices. They were then grilled until 75% cooked, you can see the reddish meat texture of the beef. The beef fillet were definitely tasty and delicious that they were so tender, soft and juicy. They did provide some extra sauce for you to dip along with but you don't need to do that as it was already very flavourful. continue reading

Wendy as usual zoomed in on the burgers and went for the Texas BBQ Burger (RM 26). This was much more impressive overall, with far less fault for us to find. The 200g patty was thick but not too thick, and it had the right amount of density and flavour. Topping it off with a sweet honey-chilli BBQ sauce, coleslaw and onion rings made things all the more enjoyable. It was a yummy experience all round. =DThe bread was also toasted nicely, although I always feel there's too much bread in hamburgers! Critics might say this kind of burger can be done at other places too, which might be true, but it's still a burger to remember if ideas are lacking at MeatWorks. =) continue reading
