Miss Kwan. This is new to us. Madam Kwan is definitely famous but this? We were guessing that it's either opened by her daughter or probably just another sister brand for an express smaller scale kind of restaurant as it offers their famous signature dishes at a smaller layout. Only few steps away from its restaurant, right in front of bumbu desa.Of course we had their famous nasi lemak as well as the plain chicken rice. Since my friend came from Ipoh, it was a let down for her as she claimed the chicken rice which was topped with oyster sauce actually tasted weird. The chicken itself was all right, smooth with just the right texture but the sauce ruined the whole set.As for mine, it was finger licking good. Comes with their own sambal with ikan bilis, it was fragrant and not too spicy. The curry chicken was good too with the right amount of santan in it. My set cost me about RM 20 inclusive of a bottle of mineral water. One can opt for the mineral water bottled or lemon tea. Not too sure if they have similar lunch offer or lunch set at their madam Kwan restaurant though. continue reading

Miss Kwan's a QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) of Madam Kwan's which serve dishes such as Assam Fish Rice, Beef Rending Rice and Sambal Prawns Rice. Miss Kwan's also serve light meals like toast and soft boiled eggs. It is located at 4th Floor, Suria KLCC, near to Madam Kwan Restaurant. It only has about 10 tables for seating. I have ordered Asam Fish Set which comes with Umbra Juice. The fish is fresh and tender, important is no so spicy. Overall, I think the rice set is tasty. continue reading

It was really huge bowl of asam laksa .At first I though it was overpriced but, somehow when it is served, I can see there's a generous amount of fish chunk and noodles. I love the sourish and sweet soup based !The springy bouncy noodles really filled up my tummy!Chunks of sardine fish.. There's a corner with a lot of condiments such as cili padi, 'shrimp paste sauce', green chili and etc..It was a long queue during lunch time.. I saw a lot of people ordering their nasi lemak.. hmm..Thinking whether should I order it next time?;P continue reading

Miss Kwan is a related restaurant to Mdm Kwan at KLCC. Its just located at the side corner of Level 4, just few steps away from Mdm Kwan. There only about 10 small tables provided. Not much choices from the menu as compare with Mdm Kwan. Tasty meals come with a cold drink of a choice of ice lemon tea, mineral water or umbra juice. While the side order set (breakfast) comes with a hot drink of coffee or tea.Umbra juice is great in taste. Super sourish and salty because of the sour plum.Breakfast set - Toast and Half boil egg @ RM6.90The toast is normal and coffee is at par. However, the half boil egg is abit disappointed. First egg was a HARD boil egg, they replaced with the 2nd one which was half boiled, half uncooked. But surprisingly the egg yolk is over boiled. Its so weird that I wonder how they prepared it. continue reading
