As the name implies, espresSOUP specializes in soup. It offers 5 different types of nutritious soups. namely chunky mushroom, clam chowder, creamy pumpkin, fresh broccoli, and classic minestrone. I've only tried the first 3 choices and the champion of soup is clam chowder soup! It's the most expensive soup among all because it is damn clam! Customers can choose to have their soup served in the normal bowl or in the signature farmer bread. One may find the farmer bread to be slightly dry and hard to chew on but I think that's how it's made so that it is able to hold soup in it.Some facts on farmer bread: it's made of wheat and rye flours and easily digested. More importantly, it's oil, sugar and preservatives FREE. continue reading

The bread is very thick. Even though the soup is inside, the bread doesnt get soggy fast. The bread is delicious on its own. The soup is thick and creamy continue reading

Espressoup's main attraction is their soups that are served in farmer's bread. The bread is shaped like a box with a hole in the middle for the soup to be served in. The bread is claimed by them to be oil, sugar and preservative free and I can attest to it that the bread was tasteless and was thick so that it is able to hold in the soup. They have a few selections of soup and I chose the mushroom soup. They also serve pasta and croissants. The soup was actually pretty nice and the bread was nice to go along with it as it soaked the soup up. The soup was creamy and the flavours were rich.In the end though, it was too much for me as I felt a little uneasy in the stomach after the meal. A little advice, if you plan on trying; share it with someone else. continue reading

In western countries it is a norm for them to dip bread into soup and it is also such a creative way for espresSOUP for containing your soup with bread. I came across this place in Berjaya TImes Square and it caught my eye. There are 3 types of soup for you to order which is mushroom, clam and pumpkin. I chose mushroom as it is the most common flavour of all in case of spoiling my appetite trying others. The portion is not very big, I mean the soup and not the bread. The bread is very thick, supposedly to contain the soup from flowing out and it is made of wheat and rye flour so it is quite tasteless. There is a manual on the place you sit teaching you how to eat this soup. It's kind of messy as you need to cut it open and let the soup flows down on the dish and then you cut the bread into pieces and dip on the soup to eat. Nevertheless I don't feel anything special except the way the soup is served. It tastes normal to me, nothing more. continue reading
