it's so surprising to find a prominent restaurant such as kissaten to be in lot 10 food court usually kissaten would have it's own shop lot or restaurant and won't be sharing the space with other food stallseither way the food is still good especially their pork burgertrue to their Japenese roots, the burger is rather moist perhaps with soy sauce or the teriyaki saucethe burger looks small but it is actually very filling continue reading

As its Japanese translation suggests, Kissaten is known for its cafe lifestyle. The word Wagyu translated literally mean Japanese cattle. Its intense marbling, high fat content, extreme tenderness and rich flavor never be a wrong choice for beef patty. the Wagyu beef patty, thick and tightly packed, taste a tad dry and overcook at a single corner. It decked with nice portion of lettuce and tomato slice. Its seasoning, Teriyaki and mayonnaise sauce was a tad overpowering. what i love the most was the burger bun after heating up. Soft and crush edgy, tagged with a mild buttery aroma. continue reading

In Malaysia when we are talking about burger, most folks will think about McDonald, KFC, Burger King or even lately My Burger Lab. But not me, i think none of them match the burger in this shop - Kissaten. Located inside the Hutong food court, this store is situated toward the end of the food court, though it is like a maze there, finding this store require certain level of effort but i bet you will be rewarded. The store is being manned by the Japanese themselves, selling Ramen and burgers. For this day, i am going to order the Terriyaki Pork Burger. The chef took my order, this burger cost about RM8 which a little bit of high compare with the common burger prize, however the preparation didn't took long, about 5 minute and the burger is ready. Seating arrangement is by the food court management, a little bit too small walkway for people, but overall it is still pleasant to sit there and dine, as it is kept clean and air conditioned. Store is being kept clean, and service is fast. The size of the burger is reasonably big, to me it is too much to bite. So i have to use fork and knife to consume this burger, the taste is so good. To describe it, Juicy pork meat, with the sweet terriyaki sauce and finally with the use of Japanese Mayonnaise, this burger is awesome. Really one of the best burger store in town, and i say is a must try for all Burger lovers. continue reading

I have heard and read about a full revamped of Lot 10 Foodcourt which now named as Hutong. Bear in mind that Hutong serves non-Halal food only. It is said that some of the food stalls were hand-picked by YTL's MD YBhg Tan Sri Francis Yeoh. Those stalls were among the famous in Malaysia with many generations. One fine day, I felt like having something non local, hence, I chose a Pork Teriyaki Burger at Kissaten stall, cost RM8. Reason being, I have read about the good review of this Pork Teriyaki Burger and decided to give it a try. Yum-yum my trust on the review is correct. The portion was big for 1 person to finish, hence, I have it shared with my BF. Though needed to wait quite awhile for it to be ready and worth waiting. Aiyo! never had such a nice Pork Teriyaki Burger, the bun was fresh and soft. The Burger contained veg as well, the teriyaki sauce was running down so much so that I have it put into my mouth very quickly. The pork was done very well for its juicy taste and certainly is value for money. Love it and will return for it again. This is a self-service foodcourt. continue reading
