Soft Baum- OriginalJapanese Baumkuchen by Komugi, the latest haute couture as far as sponge cake as well as layer cake is concerned. It is great for any occasion and you can choose from other variety like Baked Cheese, Cold Baum, Choco Berry and many new recipes to come. When tasting the ‘tree cake’ of Soft Baum in Original flavor, you get to savour the spongy layers of richness cake, baked on a rotating spit for a unique ring-shaped cake. It is not too buttery nor dry. Each layer is allowed to brown before a new layer of batter is poured. When the cake is removed and sliced, each layer is divided from the next by a golden line, resembling the growth rings on a crosscut tree. I suppose it takes quite some time when baking these layers. First eating so unique bread, salmon bread!! and it is also the best seller in the shop too. Most of the people will buy it. The skin is a little sweet, the taste is like cinnamon coated on the skin. Although the bread's skin looks hard, but it is actually soft. For the filling they have many fresh salmon in it. Every mouth you will eat the salmon filling and I really enjoy it! continue reading
