I decided that my tuna bun may not fill me, so I opted to get the double chocolate bun as 'dessert.' It looked very intriguing, especially with loads of chopped peanuts resting on top of a layer of chocolate sauce adorning the top of the bun. The bun also has lots of chocolate sauce as its filling. No wonder it is called double chocolate. I think I may have overdosed on the bittersweet double chocolate bun. Nevertheless, it was quite tasty. continue reading

This is one favourite bakery that I love to pass by whenever coming to Dataran Sunway. Though I hope that I could actually enjoy the fresh bakery from Hokkaido itself, am still happy with the selection of pastries offered here by Hokkaido Japanese Pastry House.As times doesn’t permit me to linger longer before catching a movie, so I got these two lovely buns along with me. The creation is pretty unique. For instance the Tuna in Charcoal Bread. Usually I’d have them in the normal baked brownish bun, but never thought that this charcoal variety could be equally good. The tuna is moist with mayonnaise and some dashes of basil. The dark bun itself is soft, contrary to its bold appearance. As for the Yam Bread, it’s bit confusing as it’s not in purple colour, but more dark brownish like real potato But the yam filling is pretty good, not too sweet and comes with decent yam aroma. There is also some dashes of spices on the bun outside that I think might be paprika powder. continue reading

觉得 Hokkaido Japanese Pastry House 的北海道蛋糕不输RT的。蛋糕很软,里头的cream很香,入口即化!除了北海道蛋糕,其他的面包口感都很好!价钱也合理!因为RT 在subang才有,所以那些想要吃北海道蛋糕的人,如果不方便到subang,其实可以选择hokkaido的! continue reading

For me, it is another Japanese Pastry house after the famous RT Pastry. But of course, I have to try its signature Hokkaido cake.It is very light and fluffy. The cream just melts in my mouth but the sweetness is not cloying at all. I love its very soft texture, and of course it is best eaten while fresh. It will harden if you put it for too long. Nice cake but I have yet to try other pastries and breads at this pastry house. continue reading
