I was told that there was a little restaurant selling variety of noodles . I never expect that they had this sizzling plate noodles selling here too! The noodles is served on a sizzling plate , then come with many big fat mushroom , raw egg. I not sure what the right method to take care that egg. I just mix it with my noodle and stir my noodles. It turn out quite nice hehe. The most good thing at here would be the big fat mushroom, it is so juicy, chewy and lot of them. Taste best when it is served in hot and you can heard the sizzling sound of eggs popping due to the hot plate. continue reading

Face to Face Noodle House at Damansar Utama seems to be doing realy well. Little wonder, for they are located facing directly the Uptown Towers (there's up to 5 total towers, I think).. so you can imagine that the lunch crowd on weekdays are totally crazy. So difficult to get a seat! But well worth it if you love Lat Jiu Pan Mee as much as me. Spoonfuls of dried shrimp chilli paste mix together with a half-broiled egg really coated the smooth noodles perfectly. Yums Tau Foo Fa aint bad too! continue reading

At this pan mee restaurant, you can also order other dishes besides pan mee. Here is Tom Yam Seafood mee hoon. Looking at the color of the tom yam, i know this tom yam soup will be very spicy. Indeed, it was really for those spicy lovers. The soup was full of tom yam taste, sourish and hot. I have to eat this slowly, otherwise, the boiling hot soup with such spiciness may faint me. The seafood i got were prawns, squids and crab sticks. Some vegetables and fried bean curd skin were added. Perhaps it's too spicy, i can't finish the soup and felt quite thirsty after eating this. continue reading

Chilli Pan MeeWith Pan Mee becoming popular again, it was my first time trying out the chilli pan mee at face to face noodle house and it was only average. Not sure if I can replace the thick noodle with the thin version, but I did not inform / ask and I got the thick one which is not my best preference. However they do give generous portion of ingredient and the chilli is super spicy. I can't help but notice there's a little bit of sweetness in the chilli after mixing all together. Not the best I've tried and not the worst too, might still be back to try other flavour. continue reading

I hate to sound harsh (no, really, I do), but Face 2 Face's pan mee is completely inedible. It's one of those few times in my life where I actually paid for a meal, didn't finish it, and left still hungry. The noodles tasted like plain flour, with a texture of actual flour, and extremely salty. I really don't understand how people eat here. Furthermore service is terrible. I asked for the condiments and was refused. They said I had to wait, because it needs to be shared. Well, what's the point if I can't have condiments when my food just arrived? If it's not enough, they should buy more. Their competitor down the road doesn't have this problem at all.Worst. Noodles. Ever. continue reading
