Most of the younger generation now have no clue why this is called ice cream potong. Technically, ice cream potong is just ice cream that is cut from a block and served between wafers. It was purely a matter of logistics and had nothing to do with the flavours or quality of the ice cream. These days, it's not really potong, but they just make it in an old-fashioned flavour and market it as "retro" for a higher price.The texture of this one is nothing like the olden days. It's frozen solid and icy, but flavours are better. They are thicker and with more real ingredients than just flavourings.

i am so impressed by this boutique shop. they really innovated the regular ice cream potongand what's more it's all made from fresh food without artificial flavoring and colori had an ice cream with a mixture of four different flavorsthe very top was strawberry which i could quickly tell was malaysian strawberry because it was one the sour sidethen the white was gula melakathey yellow was mangoand last but not least was blue berry

actually i wanted to come to publika as here is really a nice happening place. so long never come to here to dine in and just figure out this place have so many changes and there are lots of restaurant and especialy cafe to hang out here. located some are indoor and some are outdoor. i also like to venture outdoor for looking at any nice and cool place to chill out at night time with a groupd of friend here moreover parking is alot and no headache to find parking and parking is also easy here with bright lighting. i saw this The Potong @ Publika, Solaris Dutamas. surprisingly never come across this stall and this small stall selling the cute poton ice cream and i try this rootbeer taste quite nice and sweet. very cooling also. also try the nutella with milk not bad

the potong is located at small stall in publika. just walk by and discover this place and look interesting. the price is really expensive but their menu looks so interesting and never saw this before anywhere else., choose the rootbeer ice cream with cherry for RM 5 each. very nice and full of rootbeer taste and the cheery is little tiny two pieces inside the ice cream potong only. ice cream potong is something special and they have Limited Range of Bloom Pops, refreshing fruit based pops with a hint of floral notes.some background of the potong - Remember the good ol' days as a kid waiting for the “potong man” on his bicycle. The ringing of the bell would make all the kids dash out for the cut blocks of Potong Popsicles.The humble treat though limited in variety brought so much happiness.
