这个Hatate Oyako Don就是日本带子井的意思。带子体积是很大,也很新鲜,但是整个味道就是比较偏向甜味了,对我来说还是咸的东西比较吸引我呢。份量来说不会很多,是一个吃不饱的料理。 continue reading

'Hoi Fan' la! a.k.a 'Open Rice' Katsu Curry Rice Another dish worth trying is the Katsu Curry Rice. This ala carte is dished out with gorgeous piece of deep fried pork cutlet with Japanese curry. One of the significant item that I could notice in Japanese curry as compare to ours locally is, they are more into the spices aroma rather the hot spiciness of the chillies itself. The curry gravy is really smooth and fragrantly eaten with softened potatoes cubes and carrots that are also cooked in it earlier on. When the toothsome gravy is added on the crispy pork fillet, it offers diners a different kind of taste bud sensation, which are equally good when added with some mayonnaise! (That’s my two cents, btw! ) continue reading

Despite being a mall that's not known for gastronomic delights, Viva Home does contain several worthwhile eateries, such as this porky Japanese place.Succulent skewered meat: Yashiki offers a few unique varieties _ pork belly filled with melting-soft mentaiko, as well as smoky-savory bacon wrapped around unagi.Pork fillet & loin, tonkatsu-style, with freshly ground sesame seed sauce. Well done, offering a mouthwatering crunch, a juicy chew & minimal grease.Grilled crispy bacon with veggie reverse roll. A cool change from the regular fish & seafood-based makis, with the bacon supplying a fuller flavor.Miso ramen. Not bad; won't win any awards, but it hits all the right umami notes for a harmonious combination of slippery noodles, fleshy cha siu & steaming broth. The menu proclaims that Yashiki uses Sakura pork, which is supposed to be antibiotic-free. Cheers for an indulgence that's less guilt-inducing than usual then!Yashiki closes late, so head here if you're feeling the urge for Japanese after 10pm. continue reading

The only time I visit Viva Home is when I wanna catch up on movies as the cinema there is one of the cheapest in town. This place has several interesting eats especially the yakitori menu. Its definetaly a non halal place as the bacon here is real deal and was quite tasty too. The picture above is my mushroom wrapped with bacon yakitori. The mushroom was crunchy and juicy and it goes well with the saltiness of the bacon. continue reading
