continue reading

Curry laksa from Penang is totally different taste from the one in Klang Valley. This coffee shop here sells the Penang style curry laksa which is very popular. The Penang curry laksa is so good that if you go at late morning, you may ended up with disappointment because this stall sold out their laksa very fast. The laksa is non creamy at all, in fact the soup is more “clear”. I think this is because coconut milk is not used, instead, it uses coconut juice to prepare the curry soup. The soup will taste spicy yet sweet. You will not find chicken pieces in it, but you will get pieces of the light brown squid. The sambal is also different from the normal sambal we had. I like this version of sambal very much. Without the heavy calorie coconut milk, this version of the curry laksa is my preferred choice of laksa. continue reading
