The is one of the mamak that i visit regulars because it's very near my house.Normally i come here also i will order lamb meat. Today i only ordered roti telur, the roti here is make on the spot, so they will not serve u cold roti. And the curry here also very nice.Eating the roti telur with the curry is delicious. One of the Original Kayu Nasi Kandar branch is located at Bandar Puteri, Puchong. Nasi Kandar had its humble origins in Penang Island, Nasi’ means rice in Malay while ‘Kandar’ refers to a formidable stick that is slung across one’s shoulder to carry heavy objects securely hung on both ends of the stick. Their signature dish of course is Nasi Kandar, Roti Tissue, Lassi drink and Cheese Naan. I have ordered Roti Canai as my breakfast. The roti is very crispy and taste good especially when dip inside the dal. Overall, the food is expensive compare with other normal mamak shop. But with their quality of food and nice environment, I think is worth the money. continue reading

For a thirst quenching drink after a heavy meal, iced lemon tea would be the perfect choice. In Original Nasi Kayu Nasi Kandar, the beverages are aplenty ranging from soft drinks, juices, tea, lassi, etc. The iced lemon tea was my favorite because even though I asked for a regular sweetened iced lemon tea, the drink was only mildly sweetened for taste. The lime in the drink also did the trick wonderfully by adding acidity that also helps ease digestion. Tea flavor was adequate and subtle in the drink. continue reading

Kayu has never fail me whenever I'm out of idea where to yum cha. But recently their price keep going up. Their nasi kandar taste still remain tasty. Fried chicken is so crispy. Curry are all heavily curry fragrance. Just that the price is kinda expensive to keep continue eating here. continue reading

Looking at this bread you might wonder what it is? This is like a combination of two breads together. It is called Rawa Massala. Rawa is another version of thosai, which is not that thick. Massala is potato. Rawa doesn't has that strong sour taste like thosai. Mix with the potato, you get a very filling version of thosai. This potato is wrapped with thosai, just like how they make roti sardin. The skin of the rawa is cooked till crispy, or else the rawa very soft and not really nice to eat. The sauce has coconut sauce and traditional dhal. You can request sambal from them if you are a fans of spicy. continue reading
