I got two slices of cakes at RM 7. Usual price is about RM 5 per slice. However, the cakes are short expired. Have to consume them within 2 days. I ate them after my work for two consecutive days. I was on my way to King's Confectionery the other day to get one of my favourite pastries when I accidentally walked into this bakery instead.. without realizing that I was in the wrong shop!So.. I went around looking for the one particular pastry that I liked but couldn't find it.. and was about to walk out when I saw this in the fridge near the entranceChocolate rice balls!!!I grabbed one immediately and went to the counter to pay (it was during this moment that I saw the Baker's Cottage plastic bags on their counter and realized that I was in the wrong shop *fail*). The chocolate rice ball reminds me of a time when I was really young back in Penang Island.. my mom would bring me to this Maxim Cake House and buy me a nice Chocolate Rum Ball! This chocolate ball may not be the same thing, but it still tastes good and it makes me HAPPY!! hehe.. continue reading
