The sze chuan brinjal was another signature dish from Esquire Kitchen and we understand why. The brinjal was thinly sliced and it was soft, although slightly oily (as brinjal naturally absorbed oil), it has to be eaten with rice or mantao. The minced meat has some spiciness to it and the meat was soft too. Overall, it was slightly salty but it was fine with all of us. continue reading

Normally when people order long bean the cooking style is just normal stir fried. But this long bean is looked very normal, the taste actually is a bit complex. The vegetable texture itself is very crunchy. When you munch it, you will like the texture very much. Then the thick garlic oil on top of the vegetables release the onion fragrance. This dish doesn’t has much sauce on it but then the vegetable itself taste quite sweet. continue reading

Currently, Esquire Kitchen is running their happy single meal promotion. Price starts from RM 8.90 ++ to RM 11.90 ++. The RM 8.90 ++ set comes with a free hot tea; while the RM 11.90 ++ set comes with a free drink and Kwai Lin Gou. Among the dishes for the RM 8.90 set are Suey Choy Pork Strip Noodles , Fried Sauce Noodles, Ma Po Beancurd Rice & Cantonese Style Mixed Rice. While the RM 11.90 ++ set's dishes are the Shredded Pork Fried Noodles, Curry Chicken Noodles, Salted Fish Fried Rice, Black Bean Sauce Chicken Rice, Sweet & Sour Chicken Rice, Thai Style Chicken Rice & Curry Chicken Rice. I had the RM 8.90 ++ Suen Choy Pork Strip Noodles for my dinner.Free hot teaChilli sauce to eat with the noodlesVery good sauce, made from bean paste, chopped shallots and chillies......eat by itself is a little bit spicy but eat together with the noodles, it taste just right.......Suey Choy Pork Strip Noodles (RM 10.30 after tax) There were lots of vegetables ("Choi Sum") being provided in the noodles, which is a good way to add on more fibres to your meal. Besides, there were also lots of Suen Choy in the noodles; but the shredded pork's amount is not that much. I like the slight sour taste of the soup due to the suen choy. I nearly finished up all the soup..hehe...The noodles were not bad too, slightly springy...I think this is a healthy meal; not oily and lots of greens. continue reading
