Over here at G- YiTang Hong Kong Dim Sum, you actually have plenty of choices as you get to savour their menu from the baked, fried and steamed series. The best part is, sometimes, you would be surprised by the impromptu new dim sum creation by their very own kitchen master, Chef Yew. The inspiration would just strike him suddenly and then this affable and down to earth chef, could actually create the new dish almost instantly. And that is why you might not be able to look for the dish in their existing menu in the first place. Call it speedy innovation or whatsoever manner you put it, but one thing for sure, those delights are just awesome and tantalizing! Especially their tangy prawns which are very fresh, huge and juicy! You really gotta try that out For more foodie roll, feel free to drop by :http://lwinlee.blogspot.com/2014/03/g-yitang-hong-kong-dim-sum-steamboat.htmlhttps://www.facebook.com/joiedevivrelass?

Came by USJ Taipan for breakfast with a couple of friends one morning. One of them brought us to this relatively new Dim Sum restaurant, called G-YiTang. Unlike most dim sum restaurants, G-YiTang does not have staffs pushing their trolleys of dimsum to serve us. Instead we were given an order chit and just order whatever we want. One of the first few things we took were the customary har gao and siew mai. These 2 dishes to me, determines whether or not the dimsum is good. Upon the first bite, I was happy to say that the har gao is quite satisfactory. The skin was not too thick, nor was it too thin until it will break upon picking it up. The siew mai was not as good, but still passable. It has some nice porky taste with it, and it is quite packed and firm but it tasted a bit bland.Another highlight would be the Shanghai Siew Long Bao. This dish is never easy to make, and unfortunately I felt that G-YiTang did not make it well enough. The skin was too thick, although the soup inside the dumpling was quite nice.A great start to the morning with dim sum!
