This is the restaurant that serves Chinese cuisine, newly opened not long ago with new premises ,air-conditioning ,simple deco with homey feel.Signature dishes Potato Fried Pork (马铃薯猪肉),Deep Fried Ma Yao Fish ( 油浸马友),Nyonya Steam Talapia Fish ( 娘惹蒸非洲鱼), Steam Lala (上汤啦啦). The restaurant is famous of Potato Fried Pork so I decided to try it out , potato in thin slices stir fries garlic with pork in dark soy sauce. The garlic actually added good aroma to the dish. Not too salty and nice taste. It is suitable for everybody. Price Rm13(s) For those who think of mum's cook, this dish is a best choice. Another dish that I would like to recommend is Lightly Stir Fried Sweet Potato Leaves. The vegetables were fresh and soft in texture , feeling smooth in every bites, nicely cooked and garlicky taste. Price for this Rm10. continue reading

2 style kailan. We could not run away from 2-style kailan whenever we spotted one in the menu. The New Peng Wah version was a bit messy. The kailan chunks were just placed on one side without proper arrangement. However, this kailan chunks were crunchy even though it was thin. The deep fried crispy kailan bits were quite crispy and topped with baby anchovies to add to the crispiness. continue reading

This is a relatively new restaurant in this area. Same row as Pizza Hut, New Ipoh Chicken Rice shop, and 7-11, it is not difficult to spot this restaurant, occupying two shop lots. You may call them for reservation. If you are going there with a big group, i think it is advisable to book the table and place food orders in advance. Otherwise, you may need to wait for a long time. This happened to me during the dinner time, whereby i actually waited around 40 minutes to have my food served.Thai style Chicken. The chicken was deep fried and coated with Thai sauce. I feel that the chicken was over deep fried, hence, slightly dry and looks a bit burnt. The Thai sauce was actually quite nice, hint of sourish and sweetness. Topped with sliced mangoes, cucumber, chilli, onions and carrots. Tofu in Salad sauce. Honestly, I think they should remove this dish from their menu. To pay RM12 for this dish is totally unjustifiable. The dish was merely a japanese egg tofu being deep fried and coated with salad/mayonnaise sauce. How easy is that? Or how effortlessly is that? To charge this amount of money for a dish, please have the decency to put in more ingredients and make this dish more like a restaurant dish. continue reading
