Seriously, what can go wrong with bandung ya? I like bandung whenever I have something with intense flavour because then the sweet finishing will complete the meal, leading to definite satisfaction. The bandung here however, was quite a dissapointment because it was really diluted when I ordered it. And for the price of RM 2.90, I would expect a good bandung if not the best. I'll remember to order this in mamak instead. continue reading

One of the nyonya colors famous dish at this branch is their- Nasi Lemak pandan With Chicken Rendang. The rice has the nice aroma of pandan and it is healthier then the normal nasi lemak we had outside because this one has less coconut milk added in it. The chicken rendang selling here is quite popular as it is delicious. The nasi lemak serves along with eggs, cucumber, peanuts , fried anchovies and sambal sauce. Cozy environment and good service as well. continue reading

Whenever I'm at The Curve and long for a simple, quick bite before meeting up friends for a proper full meal;Nyonya Colors always come to mind. They have the most delicious variety of kuehs. Yums My favorite being Ondeh-Ondeh, with it's rich Gula Melaka filling it's totally one of the best I ever tasted. Their Thai Mee Siam although a small portion is real good too. Their Assam Laksa is chockful of fleshy mackerels ..yums! And their Curry Mee has just the right amount of oomph! Wonderful! continue reading

Nyonya Colors is a food outlet selling mainly local dishes with flavors of Nyonya. Here, you will find various sweet desserts, snacks, and main dishes such as Roti Jala with curry chicken, Nasi kunyit, Nasi lemak, Laksa, etc. Priced slightly more expensive than what you order from the coffee shop, but be assured for their food quality. For this place, I don't mind paying a higher price for the good local food. This is a famous Thai dessert, Thub Tim Krob. This is a shaved iced dessert, so good that Malaysians adopt it in our local menu. Basically, this is made of shaved ice, water chestnuts, jack fruits, coconut milk, and sweetend with syrup. Very refreshing and cooling. The amount of red ruby water chestnuts are generous. The red ruby water chestnuts are crunchy, and when bitten, some water chestnuts juice will still spur out in the mouth. The yellow strips are jack fruits. The jack fruits are very sweet and aromatic. The aroma of jack fruit will continue to linger in your mouth after eating. The combination of sweet syrup with coconut milk also make the dessert less sweet. I also like that the ice is shaved smoothly, not leaving any ice cubes at all so that it will melt nicely into the syrup and coconut milk. continue reading
