The ramen is scipy but nice. should give a try. This place have nice decoration with Japan poster and potrait on the wall. Mentaiko (fish eggs) Crab Sushi is one of the dish I will order to replace my usual Japanese plain rice. Menya musashi has nice sushi. They made this sushi rice roll with three crab sticks and topped with mentaiko i.e the fish eggs. Taste wise it is alright, average. Not too sour for the sushi rice, just average. The presentation of the whole sushi plate is nice, appetizing enough. Good to eat with wasabi! continue reading

Ajitama Ramen Shiro. The ajitama ramen shiro came with roast chicken, hard boiled egg and spring onions. The shiro broth was extremely thick and the thick texture gave the broth a saltier taste. The roast chicken was a big piece and it was quite tender. The ramen was done till al-dente and it was smooth. We slurped everything up. The shiro broth was quite addictive. continue reading

This is definitely one of the more fancy Japanese restaurants in KL. I decided to try their ramen and i had to ake up my choice between three types of soup that is Soy sauce soup, Black sauce soup and Spicy sauce soup. It was filled with 2 slices of pork and an egg. They had lots of spring onions in this too to enhance the flavour of the soup. The texture of the pork was perfect, smooth with very little fat. The soup is really good and the ramen noodles itself is ordinary. continue reading

And then there were two: After triumphing in 1 Utama, Menya Musashi launched another branch this week, but with a potentially polarizing twist. Occupying substantial space on P. Ramlee Road, within a short stroll of KLCC, this outlet hopes to win more customers by steering clear of pork, using chicken instead to build its broths and top its noodles. Remember how the egg yolks at Menya's 1U venue seemed off-kilter? Fear not: the ones here are touched by a rich, savory softness that makes them peerless. Tsukemen dipping ramen is available too. We rate everything a solid A (including the service, which warrants flying colors for its efficient friendliness). Side dishes include mince-layered rice and hot gyoza, all executed in exemplary fashion. Luscious for a late-night snack; last orders are at 10:30 p.m. continue reading
