At the airport, there is not choices for a meal. We decide to stop here for a quick meal before boarding the plane. As Old Town White Coffee has a lot of outlets all over Malaysia, I am supposed the food should be not bad, but how wrong am I. Especially when there no real kitchen at this outlet. The food dishes are mostly warm up in the microwave ovens.Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun (RM11.30)The dish is quite plain and seem quite expensive for such a dish.Rendang Chicken Rice (RM15.30)Another overpriced dish. The chicken is rather dry here.Kaya Butter Toast (RM5.30)As there is no toast sets sold at this outlet, I have to order them separately. The toast is crispy but lacking of freshness and soft texture inside.White Coffee (RM4.90/ Hot), Enrich Chocolate (RM5.50/ Hot)The fancy named Enrich Chocolate turns out to be Milo. Overall the drinks are average and are quite hot.Overall the items on the menu are highly overpriced. The dishes are disappointing. continue reading

Old Town White Coffee at KLIA is located at the waiting departure level. I will stop by to drink my favorite Old Town White Coffee and order a rice/noodle dish and munch on my favorite kaya and butter toast. Thank god there's an Old Town outlet at KLIA continue reading

The dry BBQ chicken wan tan noodles in Old Town White Coffee is obviously not as good as the hawker fare, but it does hold its own. The noodles were cooked just right, tossed in some dark soya sauce. The BBQ chicken was a little dry and tough, but it was still OK. The wan tan in soup has quite a generous filling compared to some hawker stalls which just practically serve wan tan sheet without the filling. Priced at RM8.90 a plate, it was reasonable. continue reading
