my bf's mom brought us to Ipoh for a one-day trip and we went for food hunting once we step down!for lunch, we stopped by this Kampai Japanese Restaurant because we heard from a friend that it was quite famous in Ipoh Town. filled with high expectations, we ordered their recommended Bento Set.to be honest, i was quite dissapointed with this dish, as not only the prawn tempura were fried quite oily, the fillings inside felt hollow and i could only taste the fried flour skin. the other vegetables tempura were the same too. other than that, the portion served were quite decent, although i doubt i would want to visit again when i return to Ipoh.

这个杂锦寿司无论是外表还是切工都是很工整的。很不喜欢看到那些外表不完整的寿司，给顾客的感觉都不是那么的好。这里的生鱼片吃起来没有腥味，不算是很新鲜，起码没有怪味道

it has been a long time after my last visit to this restaurant. KAMPAI also means cheers in japanese. This restaurant has really good business all the time and they has different set meals provided varying from breakfast,lunch and dinner to satisfy their customers. For dinner time,you have to come early around 6.30-7.00 because once you're late,it's either it's fully seated or you'll have your food really late. I've tried most of the meals on the menu expect for most of the sashimi...No doubt,my favourite aree like fried tempura,chicken teriyaki and the one I'll be introducing today is the BEEF SET. It was served with Japanese egg,chicken drumsticks with thousand island sauce,beef with homemade sauce and white rice. It costs around rm20 and this makes me eventually bloated. But it tastes exceptionally good and the reasonable price really makes everything worthy. JOM MAKANNN!!!
