Chilli pan mee has always been my staple food where I would never fail to have that bowl of goodness once in a week. Buried under a poached egg, fried anchovies, minced savoury pork and roasted chilli paste, these chewy egg noodles are simply irresistible.I have been to a few shops that serve chilli pan mee such as Face to face Noodle House and Jojo Kitchen, but so far I think Super Kitchen Chilli Pan Mee serves the best chilli pan mee in town! One ingredient in Super Kitchen’s chilli pan mee that makes the dish stand out from the other chilli pan mee is that crispy ingredient that I don’t know of (sadly). I like how that crispy ingredient is giving texture to my egg noodles and the taste just makes you crave for more of it!I prefer the dry chilli pan mee to the soup pan mee. They dry chilli pan mee comes with a bowl of anchovy soup with sweet leaf. As for the soup pan mee, the soup isn't the same soup they serve you with the dry chilli pan mee. Probably that is the reason why I prefer the dry chilli pan mee.  The soup pan mee has more  continue reading

Several years ago when I was still in internship, I was blessed to have colleagues who seek high and low in order to have good food as lunch. Once, we came to this Chilly Pan Mee at Taipan and since then I have never forget the taste of it. With no blog at that time, I have no medium to share but it is different now. Thanks to Agnes who brought me to this Chilly Pan Mee again for lunch few days ago.We were amazed at the ability of this chinese-originated Pan Mee in capturing the stomach of others such as Indian and Japanese(no kidding, they just sat next to me), other than Chinese itself. Homemade Fried Dumpling (Sui Kow 水饺) RM6 (Small, 4 pieces)Crispy deep fried dumpling of wanton skin that came with minced meat, carrot and yam bean. Not too oily as something to munch on while waiting for the famous chili pan mee.Chili Pan Mee RM6A generous portion of Pan Mee nicely presented with toppings of fried shallots, minced meat, deep fried anchovies, poached egg and some spring onion.Customize the spiciness of Pan Mee according to one's preference and tolerance level.Beat the running egg yolk, mix everything together and voila....Egg yolk added the extra creamy texture to Pan Mee as if it just slipped down my throat. Add that with chili flakes that would escalate the spiciness in my taste bud. Not to mention crispy deep fried anchovies along with flavorful minced meat that were on their way deep down to my stomach. It was indeed an eating pleasure with everything harmonizing inside the mouth. continue reading

Obviously from the name, this restaurant is famous for it's Chili Pan Mee, seriously spicy!!! Beside this, the restaurant also serves Fish Head Noddle, Home Made Curry Pan Mee, Pan Mee Soup, Fried Fish Fillet, Deep Fried Tofu with Home Made Thai Sauce, Wantan Soup, Chinese Prawn Dumpling Soup and etc. Currently it has 6 branches which located at Batu Road, Kota Damansara, Kepong, SS2, USJ9 and Cheras. The environment is comfortable with air conditioned. Normally the restaurant will be crowded during lunch time, especially after 1pm. I have ordered Pan Mee Soup. The Pan Mee Soup has egg, veggies, mince pork and fried anchovies. The noodle is bouncy with QQ texture. As for side dish, I have ordered Meat Ball Fu Zhu Soup. Overall, I think the like pan mee very much, very delicious and the price is reasonable. They serve the food quite fast although the restaurant is packed with people continue reading

As a healthy sideline, this restaurant offers wok fried Kailan as well. For some reason, it took quite some time to arrive, long after the noodles have arrived. It was nicely arranged when it was served, which is very appealing. The vegetables are given a generous dash of deep fried onions and deep fried garlic. It is also given some soy sauce to mix with. The vegetables were very fresh, as it is crunchy. It tastes very clear, although there was some oil mixed into the vegetables. For RM8.00, it is reasonably priced given the huge amount of vegetables served. continue reading

I used to love eating the famous soup pan mee in Cheras until my relative introduced me to this chilli pan mee few years ago. This chilli pan mee is uniquely delicious and I was addicted to it. The noodle neither feels too soft nor too hard. The ingredients blend in well with the noodle. Don't put too much chilli as it is spicy unless you can take the spiciness. Although it doesn't feel spicy initially but at end of your meal you will feel it.For the side dish, I love their Thai sauce tofu. The sauce taste great with the crispy tofu. But, their meatball doesn't taste that great.*I am not sure whether it's just me or not but I think their chilli pan mee in other branches doesn't taste as great as in this branch. continue reading
