Wagashi (和菓子) is a traditional Japanese confectionery which is often served with tea, especially the types made of mochi, azuki bean paste, and fruits. As for this round, I bought one of it to try it of. There around 12 flavors to choose from.I love it as the texture is quite soft and filled with fillings of the peanut cream with mocha. It has the strong flavorsof the peanut cream in it and it is indeed a tasty one with plentiful filling. Yummy!!Taste : 4/5Price: RM 4.00 each continue reading

I think peanut cream filling goes really well with the hotcakes. The cream tasted creamy and smooth but although it has a nice sweet taste, I did not find the cream tasted like it has peanuts except that it was rich and dense. Perhaps that is how it was meant to be with just a hint of it. The hot cake's crunchy skin made each bite quite a delight when the cream and cake flavours mixes. It tasted mildly sweet but the custard has a milky taste that is additictive. This really makes a good snack for any day. continue reading

Jumbo Wagashi is located at Tokyo Street, Level 6, Pavillion. This floor is dedicated mainly on Japanese culture; thus, you may find lots of merchandise and Japanese food here. And Jumbo Wagashi is one of them which is selling Japanese snacks called “Jumbo Wagashi” Basically, it is more or less like Dorayaki kind of pancakes, just that this comes in more varieties of flavors. So upon dropping by, we made our order. We had the Jumbo Wagashi Belgium Chocolate, Italy Coffee with Cream and Peanut Butter with Mochi. Among these, I prefer the second one as the custard cream blends well with the aromatic coffee. As for the former, it tastes quite good as you can see the chocolate came oozing out once you bite it while still warm. But, the third one, I find the peanut butter a tad bland and dry. Anyway, overall, they are good stuff to snack on! ^^ And to soothe down the throat, we got ourselves the Giant, real huge 1000ml smoothie from Jumbo Wagashi ^^..I personally love green tea so much, so I had the Matcha Red Bean with Ice Cream and my friend opted for their Chocholate Oreo with Ice Cream. Both smoothie taste good and really Jumbo! It took us about 3 hours to clear it up Yum yum! continue reading
