Hui Lau Shan at Mines is operated as a kiosk, an open air concept. Though it has limited seats also, kudos in that it's much more spacious and thus more comfortable than KLCC. The menu's the same though. I love all it's mango series. It also offers non-vegetarian food, but i still prefers it's desserts Mango Crystal Jelly (with ice-cream and also the one with coconut noodles) is like among my favorite here continue reading

continue reading

The first time I went there is around end July (at Pavillion KL). Quite a long queue....but with the great reviews from my colleagues and friends, I waited. The branch supervisor was fast and speedy in serving; I just have to wait about 10 minutes to get a seat.We ordered the mini set with 3 desserts and their signature curry (there were fishballs, cuttlefish and radish), and to our amazement, it was spicy and tastes great! The mango was juicy, fresh and sweet! The first dessert is mango sorbet with fresh mango fruits. The second is mango mochi, while the third is some Tong Yuen with real mango syrup. The tong yuen is so "cute" (nice to chew)! The worst part is that they have 10% service tax on top of all the items ordered. It costs more than RM30 just for these 2 snacks. However when I visited the second time on middle August, the mango was absolutely sour! Asked the branch supervisor, he explained that in this season the mango exported are a bit sour. Didn't comment further as their services are good as usual.Highly recommended for fruits lovers! continue reading
