Chopper Board (Closed)

In a shopping mall like Queensbay Mall, if you exclude the food courts and fast food places, there aren't many restaurants that an Average Joe can afford to patronize on a daily basis. Chopper Board is probably one of the few exceptions.Located just below the Golden Screen Cinemas entrance, this Chinese restaurant has a rather straightforward approach to the menu; It keeps its menu short and simple. This probably allows it to do with a relatively small kitchen.I ordered a bowl of Black Pepper Chicken Rice (黑胡椒鸡饭, RM6.00), which is one of their recommended dishes. The black pepper was served with some rice, half a hard-boiled egg, crispy rice and mixed vegetables.The taste was reasonably good and definitely worth the price! continue reading

I personally believe that Chopper Board is one of the shop that sells food at a very reasonable price.So, as usual, I went to the one located inside Queensbay Mall again. Tom YamForget the price, but is less than RM 10 xDThere are various types of ingredients in it namely crab meat, mushroom and others which I did not mention due to lack of memory of me.Hahaha.....The tom yam soup is pretty sour to my liking.Portion of the serving is moderate.Price is reasonable too.Overall, I am a very satisfy customer.And good news is there are no service or government tax that we had to pay! continue reading

Chopper Board is a small shop locate beside the "Toys R Us". It has now another outlet in the Gurney Plaza.Normally the restaurant won't have too much customer but the day I went is during the lunch hour and seem like their business not bad.The restaurant decorate like a traditional chinese restaurant, it even use the plate that previously people use.The restaurant menu not really have much more choices, so i just order mee SZECHUAN NODDLE RM 4.70When I order, I thought the noodle should be spicy cause it with the title of szechuan and szechuan was well-known with their spicy steamboat.However, I found that I was wrong when I saw my noodle had been serve up, cause it didn't look like it was spicy.The ingredient in the noodle was minced meat (pork), mushroom and vegetable (packet from the hyper market) plus some sauce that's all. I quite disappointed when I look at the noodle cause the portion is quite small and the taste is not nice at all, at least for me.HONEY LEMON ICE RM2.30 continue reading
