This is a relatively new Japanese restaurant in Mid Valley. I didn’t really know about it until after stumbling into it while waiting for my movie to begin. The menu was quite attractive so my friend and I decided to hop in for a quick snack. Service was prompt and we did not have to wait long for our soft shell crab maki and bacon wrapped quail eggs. The skewered quail eggs were fantastic as it absorbed the saltiness of the bacon which had a crispy texture. continue reading

Tokyo Shokudo's skewered stuff is worthwhile: Bacon-wrapped quail eggs & chicken gizzard.Salmon topped with various roe. Would be better if the sashimi were fresher.Squid cooked in its own ink. Not the ideal food for date night, but uniquely delicious nevertheless.Pork intestines. Hmmmm. Not as foul-tasting as feared, or as rubbery, but still an acquired taste.Spinach with ikura and bonito flakes. Quintessentially Japanese, quite satisfactory. Umeshu plum wine is available, to sweeten the evening. continue reading

First time trying out Tokyo Shokudo in Mid Valley. Ordered 2 dishes. I can't remember the exact price for each dish cause I misplaced the receipt, but if I am not wrong, the total bill is less than RM 25. Maybe will try again next time for other dishes.Grilled Scallop with Ham Tasty succulent scallop wrapped with ham.....Spicy Beef NoodleTaste wise not really good...but the beef is tender......Location: Mid Valley Megamall, G-098 & G(E)010; Ground FloorTel: +603 2284 1211Business Hours: 10.00am - 10.00pm continue reading
