Beside steamboat, you may order some snacks or stir fried to accompany with the steamboat as well. Fried Lala Mee Hoon (拉拉炒米粉) is where their signature bihun is being stir fried using fresh lala. The noodles is simply tasty and the taste is good as well where the taste and the sweetness of the lala absorb well into the bihun.Price: RM RM18 / RM28Fried Chicken Wing (炸鸡翅膀) is where the fried chicken is well fried with the fermented beancurd. The texture is simply crispy as well as flavorful as well. It is well deep fried overall.Price: RM 2.50/each continue reading

Another steamboat restaurant is opening in Kota Damansara, opposite the famous chilli pan mee shop. What makes the steamboat shop different from others is their Signature Bai Nien soup base, which is boiled freshly everyday for more than 6 hours using pork bone. The steamboat shop offers a variety of steamboat sets according to the number of people. But if you prefer ala-carte, they also have seafood, fishballs, vegetables, meat that you can order separately.Premier Set Menu(RM30.50/ set)The premium set menu can cater 4 persons, which is more than enough if you are small eaters, as the set come piling high with ingredients such as dumpling, fish, prawns, fish mee, fu zhok, fish balls, yam, cabbage, tau bok, eggs, yee mee, mee hun, quail eggs..etc..definitly will make your jaw drop. continue reading

This eating place is located along the busy streets at Dataran Sunway, which are congested with many eateries, fashion shops and hardware outlets. Personally I am not a steamboat lover, but I do love the idea of steamboat as something fun to do together, be it a small gathering or family reunion. It is quite neat and clean in there, very inviting.Left: Signature Soup (百年老火汤) @ RM8.90 ; Right: Tom Yam (冬蔭汤) Soup @ FREEThe pork soup is boiled with herbs for more than 6 hours, as a health remedy. It is a very healthy steamboat base and I enjoy the clear, herbal, aromatic soup alot. It does not turn salty no matter how many rounds we cook it with the ingredients. Taiwan Sausages (炸台湾香肠) @ RM8.90One of the best selling side orders is the deep-fried Taiwan sausages. It is simply delicious with a crispy outer skin and tastes salty inside. On top of that, I find it non-oily at all and I love it to bits! continue reading

This shop is situated at Dataran Sunway, although it is quite hard to find the shop because we have to turn round and round the place. But rest assure, even though the place is always crowded at night, the shop row is the least crowded at that place, if you happen wanted to have a peaceful dinner, this place is always a right place This restaurant, speciality is their Bai Nian Lao Huo Tang, their speciality soup which had been boil together with pork and herbs for long hours. Bai Nien Old Hotpot 百年老火锅 is one of the place which served steamboat in Kota Damansara. There are located at Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara. By the name of Bai Nian which means "hundred years". the owner claims that the soup recipes is being inherited by their grandmother's grandmother's which is kinda a decades back. We had the Premier Set Menu (精选套餐) where the set is good enough for 4 pax. The portion is kinda a big one and the ingridients are fresh. Some of the ingridients includes fish balls, taufu, vegetables, slices of fish, fu chok, bird's egg, variety of fishballs and wantan. In this you may have choices to select two different soup to served in the steamboat. There is an option of Clear Soup and Tom Yam Soup will be available for no extra charges and if you like to change to the Bai Nian soup, there will be an additional of RM 8.90. The soup taste is good and it is being cooked for more than 6 hours before it is served. It also comes with sliced pork or beef sliced together with the noodles and egg. The seafood and ingridients is fresh and the taste of the soup is simply flavorful.Price: RM30.50 per set continue reading
