Calamansi with asam boi. The drinks menu was quite long and we were struggling on which drink to order. The waiter saw our dilemma and recommended us this Calamansi with asam boi, he said it is their signature drink. When it arrived, it was made of 3 layers of color. We stirred the drink up. It was indeed a very good drink, thick and strong with calamansi and asam boi taste. continue reading

Had my farewell dinner at this restaurant together with my colleagues. This is the first time I've been here yet my colleague dined-in here several times before. He recommend us to try their pasta, and eventually I have ordered their super long-name of pasta, which the name start from the word of Honey, and the rest I have forgotten already. It comes with a salmon and the sauce is green colour-made. Salmon was not impressed, but I like their pasta very much, It costs RM40 which I think it is a little bit expensive. For beverage, I have ordered something like green apple mixed with banana, the name of the beverage was funny and special yet I have forgotten either. Lastly, I have ordered Chinese Pancake as my dessert, the taste of the pancake was special enough, it mixed with almond and Kaya in every layer of the pancake. Thing that not perfect enough was the pancake too oily and fat. The environment in this restaurant was perfectly good, quiet and comfortable. The staffs was walking surrounded you and standby for your order. continue reading

Taking up the first spot for eateries at the Hampshire Place Residences, Flora Terrace is a spacious, striking setting that will likely lure ladies who lunch. Spaghetti aglio olio gets a Malaysian makeover here, sprinkled liberally with salty pieces of pickled tenggiri, shaved parmesan and bell peppers, tossed in olive oil, basil and chili flakes. About RM24. Linguine pesto, with bunga kantan, daun kesum and baby kailan. The floral-herbal notes seem strangely understated, while the pasta swings perilously close to sogginess. Grilled spring chicken with polenta, baby spinach, garlic, onions and honey mustard sauce. Finger-lickin' good in terms of taste and tenderness. About RM30. Alas, no alcohol is served here. That'll deter us from returning soon, but here's something to look forward to: Italian restaurant Tatto will relocate from Jalan Damai to Hampshire Place this year. continue reading
