A Saturday morning, I wanted to have my breakfast at Ikea Café however the foods they served was not appeal to me therefore I drove to One Utama instead. In fact, I have no idea what to eat until I pass by this shop seeing a queue in front of the shop. Without any hesitation, I have joined the queue. This is my first visit and I did not know the existence of the shop either. They offer quite a wide selection of Nyonya Kuih, pre-packed Noodles/ rice, cakes etc. I have picked a packet of Nasi Lemak, Dumpling and Teh Tarik which cost me RM11.30. No idea what is the price breakdown just feel a bit pricey though.Nasi Lemak was barely warm, comes with standard condiments such as peanut, hardboiled egg and anchovies. Taste was pretty average but the sambal was not spicy at all. To those who did not take spicy sambal, this would suit them best. Unfortunately, I love spicy food.Chinese Dumpling with turnip filling, the dumpling skin was soft with generous filling. It was taste good and I have finished all 4 pieces within a second. No sharing allowed please.Teh Tarik, served hot with thick milky smell and smooth. However, the tea aroma was very light this is because the milk flavour was overtook the tea. Taste like Susu Tarik rather than Teh Tarik. Overall is still acceptable. continue reading

When I was young, I couldn't help to marvel at the blue color glutinous rice for it is so beautiful and enchanting. As I grew up, I learned that it was this blue flower that gives the glutinous rice some dash of color. This glutinous rice was firm but dry, I was expecting it to be more moistened though. I could smell the santan used to make the glutinous rice and I must say, it was contributing to the feel good factor. The kaya tasted like commercial kaya but sweet and eggy to my standard and of course, to go with the glutinous rice! Overall, I would prefer it warm, dense but moistened, and more kaya. continue reading
