My all time favourite french toast in Wong Kok. Whenever I have no idea what to eat, this will be one of my food choice since its yummy and filling not to mention the price is reasonable! It's their french toast that attracts me to visit their restaurant more often. Crispy toast filled with peanut butter topped with icing sugar and butter. They served it warm! The smell of peanut butter is indeed alluring. Definitely a must try especially to peanut butter lovers continue reading

In Wong Kok Char Chan Teng, there have variety of food for you to choose. Personally, i like the Toast here and also Cheese Baked Spaghetti with Portuguese Sauce and Pork Chop.Original milk tea in Hong Kong style which cost around RM5.50. This is so good because it's served without ice in the drink, rather the drink is kept cold by putting it in a bowl filled with ice. You get the fully concentrated version of the milk tea. One the signature drinks they are serving. continue reading

Since 2003 Wong Kok Char Chan Teng has brought in a new trademark of Hong Kong great cuisine into Malaysia. They boasts a variety of cuisine for whole day long - breakfast, lunch, teatime, dinner as well as supper. It definitely a satisfaction act "To Taste Hong Kong, Taste in Wong Kok". It already has more than 22 outlets throughout Malaysia and Singapore. The restaurant design is very modern and the environment is very nice and comfortable. One of their branch is located at 1st Floor of One Utama Shopping Centre. The Cantonese Style Fried Hor Fun with Fish and Ginger is really nice. I even finished up the thick gravy too. The Pineapple Sauce Fish with Rice also not bad. The fish is very fresh and the fried vege as side dish also very unique. continue reading

When catching for movie in the one utama recently, friend decided to take a quick bite at the Wong Kok Char Chan Teng. My first question is if that is a fusion restaurant. They assure me it is not, even though they have few western dishes on it. Then I recalled that the Wong Kok Char Chan Teng is one of those Hong Kong café with the cheese bake rice and noodle menu made popular in town by the Kim Gary. That is when I realized that I have not been to one for a long time already. And since it is so near to the cinema, so I give in and proceeded to the what seems like a narror shop form the entrance but gave me quite a startle to see the huge spaces behind what was not seen from the outside. The shop cleverly uses a shade of grey and darker tone for the calming and soothing ambiance. There are natural light form the glass panel and the dishes are still good like how I remembered them from when I last visited one of their branch somewhere else. The rice in soup is amazingly good. With ingredients vouched to be fresh and good after the first bite. It was sweet with some light pieces of coriander in it while the baked cheese spaghetti was slightly underwhelming than the rice soup, I am guessing it would be better with rice instead of pasta. The corn soup was not too bad but lack a little corn flavour in it.Loving their ginger tea very much but their fancy ice blended is horribly sweet . continue reading

continue reading
