From the name, one can already tell the similarity of this Yan Woh Tong and the Kwong Woh Tong chains. Both selling the same thing, except I find the latter slightly a little more authentic when it comes to their powdered medicine. The Chinese herbal tea is different from actual tea. The actual fact is that all tea types are from a same plant called the Camellia Sinensis. The herbal tea on the other hand do not consist any part of the tea plant. The Chinese herbal tea, constantly known as medicinal herbal tea is a kind of tea made purely from Chinese medicinal herbs in Guangdong China. Since they don’t contain any part of the tea plant, I would say it is more of a tisane rather than actual tea. Because tisane is a general term for any non-caffeinated beverage made from the infusion or decoction of herbs or any spice like plant material, the herbal tea (also known as leong char) is better categorized as the tisane than tea.

yan woh tong is located inside the ikano power centre.It's somewhere at Mutiara Damansara.Yan woh tong is a chinese style herbal shop that selling herbal tea,herbal jelly and some other beverage.This is the 24 herbs tea.Very nice i would say.It's so bitter and not sweet at all.This is the true traditional 24 herbs tea.If i want it to be nice and sweet,why should i drink herbal tea?This 24 herbs tea must be bitter enough and no sugar added then only will good for our health.This is really nice and i finish 2 bowls of this 24 herbs tea.
