Hong Kong style roast duck at Oriental Pearl Restaurant is exceptionally good. The roast duck has this crispy aromatic skin that i can't resists. On a normal days, the duck skin will be left untouched, but the roast duck here was so good, i do not waste any parts of the duck including the skin. The duck meat is very meaty, thumbs up for that. For roast duck, i like the duck to be meaty with less bones. The meat also tasted tender and juicy. I think some of the spices use to marinate the ducks are star anise, five spices and cinnamon stick. The duck has no "duck smell" which means the duck has been prepared in a way to eliminate the foul smell of the duck. continue reading
