Roasted Duck with the Crispy Fried Bihun is one of the chef’sspecialitist and recomendation by the chef. This is where the crispy texture of the skin and tender meat is being served with the special sauce with it. The duck meat is then being layed on top of the deep fried crispy bihun.Price: RM 16.50For Beef lovers, you may grab the taste of the sizzling beef with the black pepper sauce where the beef is being marinate and it is stur fried together with the cauliflower, long beans, carrots and stripes of can corns. continue reading

Soi Thai Restaurant is located conveniently inside the Waterfront, Desa Park City on first floor. The restaurant was decorated with some simple and décor that looks very pleasing to the eye. I started with the famous appetizers in Thailand- Som Tam (aka Green Papaya Salad with Dried Shrimp and Peanuts)! It supposes to have a combination of sour, sweet and spicy all together. But I can only taste sour and just a little hint of spicy in this dish. I will prefer if it they add more spiciness in this dishes. Some dried squid will be best to brings out the natural sweet taste of the salad. Next, I finished it off with Soi Thai’ signature otak-otak. The otak otak comes in a plate of three pieces and it is steamed before being served to us. I must admit that their otak otak is very rich with their ingredient and it is as smooth as tofu and it melt in the month too! This is definitely must order dish on my next visit! continue reading

Soi Thai is so noticable and crowded during dinner hours. I'm thinking it must be an ideal venue for authentic, fairly valued Thai fare.Under the very relaxing atmosphere, I notice some quirky touches like miniature Buddha and elephants decor standing by the colorful seats. So cute!Thai Green Curry ChickenSuch a creamy and succulent combination of chicken slices and brinjals keeps me reaching for more. Soft, smooth and tender meat tastes great when touched by the very mild, sweet green curry. Very light and lacking of exotic flavours of spices.Thai Curry Choo Chee FishNext, the Choo Chee Fish, recommended by the affable waiter, arrives. I learn that Thai curry has more than just between red and green, there is Choo Chee curry as well! What a delicious dish: Spicy red curry with a burst of distinctive flavours from the kaffir lime leaves. Black Glutinous Rice in Coconut MilkHere's for dessert. This sticky rice is more of dark purple than black, so compact yet soft. To my personal taste, I'm amazed at the unique taste of the naturally sweet rice in combination with the coconut milk. It tastes even better than the mango sticky rice, so enjoyable yet guilt-free! continue reading
