This restaurant, which owned by a local Chinese radio station DJ was recommended by my friends who often patronized the place. The restaurant is located along the street jam- packed with variety of restaurants and cafes. There are different types of ramen available here, whether u prefer to go meatless or with pork, chicken or beef. My friend and I decided to try their best sellers (which are recommended by the staff), soft bone pork rib and grilled chicken ramen. The soup was very flavorful but was a little too oily to our likings. The egg with soft yolk was the way it is should be. continue reading

Soular Pot (steamboat) and Iwate Ramen (ramen), form the name we can know that they serve steamboat and ramen, or in other words, a variety of japanese cuisines. It is a Japanese restaurant.Okinawa Dumpling Thin, crispy and light, if not mistaken it was cheese and mayonnaise inside.. Delicious.Seafood Ramen Ramen was smooth and springy. The broth was not too watery and the fresh seafood sweeten the soup base.Char Siew Ramen A very thick cut of char siew and flavourful. The char siew was lean and yet it is still soft, tender and smooth. Soup was thick (muddy). Creamy somemore.Credits to: EVERYDAY FOOD I LOVE continue reading

Was at Sri Petaling that day wondering what to eat. At last we went back to Iwate Ramen again after my first try. This time i order the mixed mushroom ramen. There is so much of the fresh shiitake mushroom. However, today the broth soup is a bit too salty, probably the chef put too much salt in it. The egg as before is melting egg yolk which i like so much. The food here overall are good but honestly is too pricey. Each of the Ramen cost at least RM13 up to RM25. continue reading

Soular Pot and Iwate Ramen is a restaurant at the newly developed area of Sri Petaling along a whole shoplot of eateries. Most of the shops serve steamboat, porridge, pan mee and other local food but here they serve their signature ramen. Here's my stewed beef ramen. It is served with an egg and vegetables, with a very thick soupbase, quite salty but in a good way. I love the ramen which does not soften even after being dip into the soup for half an hour! The beef is nicely done, with good ratio of chewiness and stiffness. Worth a try! continue reading
