Since all of us has started working, we don't have that much time to hangout and keep updating each other. So we plan a small gathering at italiannies. I have never tried here before actually because i was scared that it is going to be expensive. Oh well, but now i am working, should be ok to eat here once in awhile hehe.So are the list of our ordered food   (there were 8 of us) 1) Spaghetti bolognese2) Beef lasagna3) Seafood carbonara4) Grilled chicken (forgotten the full name)5) Beef pepperoni Pizza6) I have forgotten another one sorry! hahaWe did start with appetizer which was the bread (nothing much lol). So we shared the food because the portion is quite big. I was able to taste all of it. The fav one is the grilled chicken which all of the flavours were in place and my least fav is the lasagna. I don't like the tomato sauce because it tasted sour. As for the carbonara, the sauce is quite thick make us unable to finish it. The pizza was surprising good as well but i would prefer domino better hehe. The rest of the food was just ok. Nothing special. I have forgotten the prices but as what i remembered the bill was around RM200. 3 of us just ordered plain water while the rest ordered some fruit juice and coke. For me it was a bit expensive but with that kind of portion, i think it was worth it.Overall: Good place to get together, High end food, Great environment continue reading

Focaccia and Tuscan bread - complimentaryWhen beginning of every meal, the waiter served us a complimentary home-made Focaccia and Tuscan bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. They do sell the bread in loaves. Do get them if you enjoy it.The bread is fresh, soft, warm and when you Dip into the pool of balsamic vinegar and olive oil, somehow there is a unique taste that is hard to describe.Roasted Chicken with Balsamic GlazeOven-baked roasted chicken glazed with Balsamic that served with rosemary wedges and garlic butter broccoli. The chicken was very aromatic but the meat very dry and rough. The best from this plate would be the garlic butter broccoli and the wedges. continue reading

Located along the walkway of the Bazaar, the Italiannies is one of the few restaurant that you won't miss out as it is facing the walkway. Serving food in the "Italian" way, their menu consist of the Spaghetti, Pizza, bread, soup and some other western variety dishes. Interior design of the restaurant is rather antique one, it gives me the feeling of a restaurant that is started very long time ago or what a layman like me call it "Western interior design" Today, me and my boyfriend is just looking for a place to sit down and chat, and one of the suitable quiet place to go is The Italiannies. Since there isn't much people around, it is really a good place for people to have a casual chat while enjoy the food here. Regardless of what is ordered, the standard appetizer would be a white bread serve with olive oil plus some vinegar. We are not looking for a full meal here, but rather a cake and a drink. So we ordered their Tiramisu, services offered is good and pleasant, though a little improvement on speed will be good. it takes them about few call to respond to our request, nevertheless it didn't took them long to serve the cake to us. The Tiramisu here, is so flavorful. Full with a layer of Cappuccino, and soft and creamy cake layer makes the cake feel so perfect. It is definitely one place where i will love to have Tiramisu again. The restaurant is being kept very clean, there isn't much disorder. My recommendation for any person who looking for a quiet and casual place to chat, Think about Italiannies. continue reading

Having my light lunch at Italiannies its been a while since I have stepped in to Italiannies I remember the last time I went there is almost last year. They have made some changes in their menuMango salad as is my favourite dish but unfortunately it turn out to be not as good as last time plus they have excluded some of the items in last time salad. But overall the mango is fresh just that the portion is not much compare to last timeSeafood risotto my bf choice and is also his favourite dish in Italiannies. But for now the taste totally different compare to last time. This time the I can taste the white wine being used in the risotto compare to last time and the seafood is still fresh. continue reading

Strawberry cheesecake. By the name of it, I expected is a layer of cheese mix with a layer of strawberry. In actual, the cake was 100% cheese cake topped with half piece of strawberry, surrounded by strawberry syrup. The cheesecake was made of solid cheese. The texture was creamy and at the same time full of cheesiness in it. It was so rich in cheese. Every mouthful was a heaven. The strawberry syrup added some sweetness to the cheesecake. A very good combination indeed. continue reading
