Some time back, a group of friends decided to check out a newly opened restaurant called the Kitchen Creatures… and I was one of them to storm the place for the 1st time! Such a perky name, methinks. Loved how notepaper-ish their menu resembledHeck, it was really catchy too! Try reading it when you get thereI took a liking to their concept of a No Frills Dining. Nothing too fancy-pancy, yet delivers the bare necessities every hungry person yearns for. Food at no extra cost. This means, you’re only paying for your meals – NO GOVERNMENT TAXES, NO SERVICE CHARGES AND ETCETERA.But tipping is certainly welcome! We mingled around for a bit and took pretty pictures of the cosy and home-like outlet. Heck, there was even a Spiderman poster all framed up against the brick wall! And a chalkboard hung from the top.. pretty old skool ey!The first appetizer came - it was Stuffed Mushrooms on the house specially for us! Such sweethearts, no? Perhaps it’s their method of a warm welcome. We were given plenty of these. Was warm and juicy! After skimming through all the food in the menu, I placed my dime upon the Carbonara Spaghetti. A personal favorite since childhood. And lookie here! A reasonably portioned plate of pasta of my choice arrived quite quickly with a couple of mussels and fresh shrimps too!Certainly exceeding my expectations for the price that comes with it!Apart from the Carbonara Spaghetti, there were many variants of our favorite pasta. Someone else at the table ordered Oglio Olio, which came with succulent shrimps as well.Pretty soon, more yummy delights came a-knocking at our gastronomic gates! Similarly, the pizza was also specially made by Kitchen Creatures just for us. Soft melted cheese baked with a crunchy base no one could resist! They had a few toppings that came along with it too.The other main courses that the rest ordered came in a jiffy too. The Monster Platter consisting of fried shrimp, calamari rings, mushrooms, fried chicken wings and nachos was a real combo! You certainly will not expect this for the price you’re forking out… more than what you bargained for!Sirloin Steak, Monsterized Burger, Monster Platter and Bolognese SpaghettiI liked how the Chicken and Mushroom Pie came in such bite-sized pieces! There was mash potatoes accompanying it too. Being a huge fan of pastries, I must say that these babies were relatively fulfilling KudosCan’t exactly remember what this was or who ordered it… but it looks pretty satisfying to me!A good mixture of meat, veggies and pasta After all that warm good meaty aftertaste, it’s good to flush them all down with some ice-cold drinks. Check out the Slimey George! It’s a mixture of Sprite + Ribena + Lemon. Mocktail much? The color that accompanied that concoction was really interesting too Someone else ordered soup, and it arrived in due time as well. What a huge plate! It looks thick and rich, reminds me of beef stew! The noms No complaints at all. Very good and quick service, witty staff, reasonably delicious food but most importantly, WORTH EVERY PENNY YOU’RE PAYING FOR!All in all, it was a very pleasant dining experience! I would certainly recommend this to anyone planning to indulge in good food without having to make your wallets echo the next day. Perfect for a simple meal and even more perfect for that huge gathering of friends! continue reading

I am big fans of oglio olio. Frankly, i have not really try all their food but one thing i am sure is i love the beef oglio olio. The taste is delicious and with some spicy taste. The beef bacon is a lot. Only one thing that I don't really like which is a bit oily. But still I love it so much that I don't bother other food in the menu. Haha... The restaurant also doesn't charge any tax which is good. The price is still acceptable with the amount being offered in 1 plate. continue reading

The most economical selection from the menu must be the fried rice. When served, I was actually quite happy as I expect something lesser. But would also prefer if there's an extra egg in the mix. The hero of the dish is the sauce as its very appetizing. The sauce goes well together with the chicken wings and rice. Without it, it would be quite plain and on the oily side. The fried rice taste like normal chinese type of fried rice, a bit dry if not for the sauce. The chicken was serve hot so it took some time too cool off. Taste wise was quite good though. The abundant amount of salad is also a good addition to fill me up! They are always fresh and nicely presented, which is something I like about this restaurant! continue reading

Its concept is 'No-frills dinning' where you dont need to pay government tax or service charge. Having said that, I am not happy with the service given. Seafood Garlic Cream Sauce (RM15). When I see the cream, I expected something like carbonara sauce. But it turn out quite salty and nothing carbonary-like besides the creamy sauce. Even it was mentioned 'garlic' in the menu, but I does not taste a hint of garlic in it. For a super garlic lover like me, it was disappointing. The seafood was fresh. The tiny pieces of fish fillet was on the salty side. continue reading

Kitchen Creatures is strategically located at Centre Point where there's lots of indoor / outdoor parking space that is free of charge after office hour. The Big Daddy Monster Burger consist of a double thick chicken or beef patty layered with onion, lettuce, pickle, ham, bacon, and egg with fries to complete the dish. The chicken patty was juicy and tender while the all other ingredient was freshly prepared. The only downside of this burger is that your mouth couldn't bite everything in a go. continue reading
