Eccucino, the central coffee house and restaurant of Prince Hotel & Residencies. I was stoked upon seeing all their Christmas decors and the wholesome Christmas menu! Totally reminds me of the real Christmas spirit!I see snow! The first thing which got me heading towards was of course, the carving station. Loved almost everything there! On the sides were Bread Stuffing and Cornbread Stuffing with thyme, dried fruits, sausages, bell peppers, beef bacon, apple and more. That really tasted swell!Roasted Turkey with Giblet Gravy was the main attraction of that station but they also had various sauces for us to choose from - I chose one of each, just to have the best of both worlds! Or this this case, best of 5 worlds My pick would definitely be the either the Chipotle Cranberry sauceor the Cranberry-Orange CompoteOther fabulous dishes on the buffet table was the Chick Pea Salad with Smoked Chicken Breast and Grilled Zucchini. A healthy yet delicious alternative though! Those chicken strips are just right and tender to my tastebuds Miss those signature Italian meatballs with that heavenly yum of a gravy? Gulp it all down this Christmas – and you don’t have to head all the way down to Ikea to get your hands on those! In this Christmas Menu, the New England Clam Chowder was made in abundance too. Bet mom will love that heaps! But one of my fave soups of all time would definitely the Pumpkin Soup.At each and every food review or even casual foodie outings, the Pumpkin Soup would be my choice of starter soups. Some lovely French Pastries to to add to that perhaps? Comes in all shapes and sizes! It was dessert time after that gastronomic haul of more food such as Barbequed Duck Breast, Creamy Potato Salad, Steamed Salmon, Minced Lamb Salad, Roasted Sirloin, Sauteed Prawns, Stewed Lamb Shank and too many that I won’t be able to list them all down before the cows come home.So let’s take a look at those desserts instead! The Yule Logwith little santas atop! Whee ain’t they cute? The very popular Dresdner Stollen!Aww look at lonely SantaFairytales of the Gingerbread Man and the Gingerbread House takes me a loooong way back when I was just a child of 5 spending Christmas with my folks back home. Check out their Gingerbread house with lotsa snow and ornaments! The legendary chocolate fondue!Dip them with Marshmellows and you’ll never go wrongAt the other end of the table, there was an ice sculpture of a Christmas Tree. Edward Scizzorhands much? With this, I’m glad that you won’t go devoid of ideas of where to eat your Christmas Dinner! Amayzeeeng with a capital A. So, head down to Prince H0tel & Residence with an empty stomach and you’ll be sure you’ll leave bursting your buttons! Such an amazing job well done by their team of chefs lead by Chef Donald Pezar! continue reading

Tropical FruitsAny platter of tropical fruits served at hotel buffet dining more often than doesn’t seem too appealing as compared to its seasonal compatriots. And for this purpose, I decided to further enrich it more antioxidant natural supplements by adding juicy blueberries and strawberries to the already fruitfully plated fare that includes dragon fruit, honey dew, papaya and also sweet yellow water melon. All these fruits are zestily gratifying with its juiciness that immediately cool down the tummy I don’t mind having more of the fruits than the main meals continue reading

Eccucino, an all day dining at Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur where it featuring the “Asian Street: buffet dinner for the month of March & April 2013. The buffet brings together the different Asian Street food in one roof where customers can share the vibrant culture around Southeast Asia. we enjoy our meal with the array of Malaysian favorites which includes Char Koay Teow, Ayam Masak Merah, deep fried prawns, beef, and many more. The completeness of the buffet spreads from Chinese Food, Indian Delights and Malay Delights had never failed to impress my taste bites. Need to beat those mid-week blues? Eccucino offers a free flow of wine and beer every Wednesday in its RM88++ buffet dinner. The spread covers the basics. Nothing unusual here, but everything tastes OK. Wednesday night is also Grill Night; tiger prawns, slipper lobsters, squid, lamb, spring chicken and sausages are available to be grilled on order. Voila! No fear, all the items are prepared pretty well. The lamb remains succulent, the prawns aren't dried out, and the sausages are as juicy as can be. But the real reason to come here is the booze. We didn't ask what wine they were serving, but both the red and white were decent (not fantastic but OK lah). Worth the money for customers who can hold their alcohol. continue reading

My first visit to this Eccucino for a lunch buffet on a company event. After the main course, I went to their dessert bar. Picked these items to try and would not dare to think of the sushi bar at all after having such a disappointment on the main course. I find only the pudding and the Kuih Lapis are acceptable to my taste. The blueberry tart, I decided to leave it after having the chocolate moist cake which also did very badly. The cake was very dry, hard and too sweet. continue reading
