So I am from Britain living in Birmingham and I went for a trip with my lovely boyfriend Robbie as this is our 4 year anniversary. Our first destination was Malaysia, but I have no idea where I was as he was the map and the driver, I was only there to enjoy my life haha. We saw a Japanese restaurant when we were hungry, its layout looks quite good so we went in. The Sushi was just amazing. They looked so attractive and cute that I would not want to eat them Moreover, the cheese baked oyster was hilarious OMG, and I also liked the tempuras espically the pumpkin ones, it was sweet, but crunchy and it was not too oily. The only bad thing was I was waiting for the table for like 30 minutes, and then I have to wait another 20 minutes for my starters to come, it was just too much effort for me, but still, the food was really nice. continue reading

There is also variety of Thai Food which is also super delighting as you can find a variety of kerabu there. You can find fresh salmon kerabu, mango kerabu, squid kerabu and more. The food here have a large variety but quality wise is still in par. continue reading

Shogun at Solaris Mont Kiara used to be known as Tenji. They bought over Tenji and 'convert' it into serving a variety of food across all spectrum. Meaning it used to be known as place exclusively serving Japanese buffet. Now it not only serves Japanese cuisine but also Chinese, Malaysian and Western. I guess maybe that's why the food standards dropped a bit. Because the chefs are "jack of all trades but master of none". yes, they know how to prepare all styles.. But almost all food are so-so only and nothing particularly stands out. The sushis, sashimis, chawan mushis, steaks, grilled and stir fried veges, spaghettis, baked oysters and mushrooms, etc. Everything is just passable, nothing special. But well, if you can eat a lot and do not want to pay exorbitantly, this place is for you... continue reading
